At the gates of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, a UNESCO heritage site, a sustainable house with a low environmental impact, full of charm that tells the story of the places and its famous characters. Private parking and electric car charging.
Thanks to its characteristics, the Casa Novecento Bed & Book has the European Union eco-label "Ecolabel UE", which distinguishes products and services which, while guaranteeing high performance standards, are characterized by a reduced environmental impact during the entire life cycle. .
A house from the first decade of the last century, a stone's throw from the center of Feltre, in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites National Park, recently restored in an eco-sustainable way, enhancing the spirit of the place and the original characteristics of the building.
Each room is inspired by the colors and furnishings of a leading figure in the Belluno cultural landscape: the writer, journalist and painter of international renown Dino Buzzati, the great painter Tancredi Parmeggiani, the master of wrought iron Carlo Rizzarda, the journalist Gino Rocca , the writer, essayist and journalist Silvio Guarnieri and to Piero Rossi, one of the main founders of the Belluno Dolomites National Park.
The left wing of the house houses 5 lodgings, 1 apartment, the breakfast room and the laundry room.
The rooms are elegant and bright, and some offer splendid views of the Belluno Dolomites. The rooms have private bathroom, reading corner, mini bar, 24-inch LED TV, internet connection, hairdryer, Oeko Bio comfort mattress in wood fiber, compostable and biodegradable material, made in Italy, with low use of energy.
The Tancredi room also offers a small garden for the exclusive use of guests, which in summer turns into a lovely veranda, where you can also eat, or in the solarium. The Rossi accommodation instead stands out for the splendid view that can be enjoyed from the pretty terrace, from which you can admire the Feltre Castle, near which stands the suggestive Torre di Alboino, and a view of the mountains that frame the Feltrino.
The Casa Novecento B&B is the ideal starting point to explore the protected area of the Belluno Dolomites, where some of the most beautiful and evocative mountains in the Alps are located, since 2009 they have also been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. You can choose from numerous itineraries on foot or by mountain bike, Nordic walking routes and horseback riding, canoying, and paragliding, for the more intrepid, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter.
The house is in energy class A and has numerous environmental concerns: 100% clean energy from renewable sources, geothermal underfloor heating, thermal (and acoustic) insulation, energy saving, water recovery and much more. Casa Novecento encourages sustainable mobility, ensuring the free shuttle for those arriving at the station by public transport and making bicycles available to visit the area.
Feltre is the main gateway to the Belluno Dolomites National Park, an area of extraordinary landscape and naturalistic value, an environment with priceless natural treasures, all to be discovered, recognized since 2009 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Despite the unspoiled and wild nature of these mountains, there are sites of historical, archaeological and cultural interest. The mountains of the Park, with their silent beauty, have enchanted the writer, journalist and painter from Belluno Dino Buzzati, who defined them in one of his writings "enigmatic, intimate, secret (...) moving for the stories they tell, for the air of other centuries, for solitude comparable to that of deserts ".
