B&B Cottignano
A B & B in a renovated old farmhouse ecological, on top of a hill two kilometers from the center of the village of Masserano and half an hour from Biella
An old farmhouse recovered according to the criteria of sustainability at the foot of Alps Biella.
The house is located a few kilometers from the center of the village of Masserano, on top of a hill which offers an excellent view of the landscape.
Guests have two bedrooms: one with double bed and one with two single beds.
Near some stables, the B & B Cottignano is the ideal starting point for horse trails, mountain biking and hiking on the trails of the Great Crossing of Biella.
The farm produces excellent goat cheeses, and provides interesting experiences petting zoo for children and families.
The old house has been recovered so environmentally friendly as possible. They were used local natural materials, such as the Lucerne stone, typical of Piedmont, and the red sand of our stream Osterla and Ostola, for exterior plaster.
The choice of solar panels to produce hot water and underfloor heating, the use of a wood burning stove fed initially with the old beams of the roof, large windows facing south and south-facing interior walls are decorated with dark colors, are all points of care to make a small contribution to the preservation of our environment.
