At Mistletoe Estate, hospitality is rooted in a simple philosophy; luxury should live in harmony with nature, not at its expense. Set amidst the Himalayan landscape, the estate seeks to sustain an intrinsic part of the guest experience rather than an afterthought.
Mistletoe Estate's approach to hospitality embraces slow-living, mindful consumption and a deep respect for the natural environment. From the food served to the materials used, we aim to make thoughtful choices that minimise waste and celebrate what the land naturally offers.
Our Green Philosophy
Nature first. The surrounding forests, valleys and biodiversity are treated as an integral part of the estate experience, with an emphasis on responsible interaction with the landscape.
Farm-to-table living. Where possible, home-grown and locally sourced produce is incorporated into meals, encouraging seasonal, fresh and low-impact dining.
Plastic-conscious hospitality. We strive to minimise single-use plastic and unnecessary packaging throughout the guest experience.
Sustainable materials. Natural, reusable, recyclable, compostable and biodegradable alternatives are preferred wherever practicable, including materials such as jute, cotton and other natural fibres.
Mindful consumption. Guests are encouraged to embrace a slower rhythm, with conscious use of water, energy, food and other resources.
Nature-based wellness. Forest walks, nature immersion, sound healing and quiet time outdoors connect wellbeing with the living environment around us.
Local and artisanal. We value locally made, handcrafted and artisanal products, helping preserve traditional skills while reducing dependence on mass-produced alternatives.
Less waste, more purpose. We aim to reduce, reuse and responsibly manage resources wherever possible, while continually looking for practical ways to reduce our environmental footprint.

"The Mistletoe Way | A Few Gentle House Guidelines" A gentle beginning. Check-in is from 11:00AM onwards. Please share your approximate arrival time in advance so we can prepare a warm welcome. Respect the tranquility. Mistletoe Estate is a space for rest and rejuvenation. We request guests to keep noise level low, particularly during the evening and early morning. Nature first. Please respect the surrounding forest, gardens, wildlife and natural habitat. Do not litter, pick plants, or disturb animals and birds. Mindful living. We encourage guests to embrace our slow-living philosophy and enjoy the property at an unhurried pace. Digital detox. Guests are welcome to disconnect from devices and immerse themselves in nature, conversations, reading and quiet reflection. Smoking. Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation or enclosed areas. Please use designated outdoor spaces and dispose of cigarette waste responsibly. Alcohol & substances. Please consume alcohol responsibly. Illegal drugs and substances are strictly prohibited on the estate. Fire safety. Candles, incense, fireplaces and any open flames may only be used in designated areas and with host's permission. Guests & visitors. Only registered guests may stay overnight. Outside visitors should be informed to and approved by the host in advance. Children & safety. Children must be supervised, particularly around slopes, forested areas, water bodies, fireplaces and other potentially hazardous areas. Pets. This is not a pet friendly property. Sustainability. Please help us minimise waste and conserve water and electricity. We encourage responsible use of resources and avoidance of unnecessary plastic. Care for the estate. Guests are requested to treat the accommodation, furnishings, artworks and natural surroundings with care. Any accidental damage be kindly reported promptly. Wildlife encounters. Mistletoe Estate is surrounded by a natural ecosystem. Guests should never approach, feed, chase or attempt to photograph wildlife at close range. Wellness experiences. Participation in yoga, sound healing, nature walks, forest experiences and other activities is voluntary. Please inform the host of any relevant personal requirements before participating. Quiet hours. We request guests to observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Check-out. Please complete check-out at the agreed time and leave the accommodation in a reasonably tidy condition. A shared philosophy. Above all, we ask our guests to leave the estate as they found it, with respect for nature, people, privacy and the peaceful spirit of Mistletoe Estate.
