Our abode offers a sanctuary of simplicity and cleanliness with a history spanning 80 plus years, provides the perfect backdrop for you to reconnect with your inner self. The initial owner; Lakshman Rao Girimaji, popularly known as Acchanna in the family for everyone from the age of 4 to 90, was a prominent figure in Thirthahalli, has left behind a lasting legacy.

The house, a true embodiment of Malnad architecture, exudes warmth and positive energy. Constructed with mud walls and tiled roofs, the house is a living testament to tradition.

Adjacent to the building, a vacant plot hosts a variety of fruit trees and arecanut trees, creating a lush oasis of greenery. Unwind by the bonfire or relax on the deck, offering picturesque views of the paddy fields that stretch out behind the home. THE HOST

Welcome to Acchannas! I’m Ajay, your host here in the heart of Malnad. I was born in Thirthahalli, but I spent much of my early life in Bengaluru, where I went to school and college. Every summer, though, I’d find myself back here, exploring the natural beauty and soaking in the local culture. Those childhood memories are still some of my fondest, and they shaped my deep connection to this place.

Most of my career was spent in the Middle East, working in the services industry around web and mobile app development. I was on the marketing side, so I’ve always had a passion for connecting with people. Having spent much of my life abroad, I decided to return to my roots in Thirthahalli, a place close to my heart since childhood. It’s a space where I aim to share the warmth, traditions, and charm of this land that I’ve always cherished. Now, I want to bring that same sense of connection to Acchannas, where guests can experience the warmth, traditions, and charm that I’ve cherished since my childhood. It’s those experiences that I hope to share with you, so you can leave with memories that will stay with you long after your stay.
