Reethaus Habur
250-year old thatch built in loam construction
Ideal holiday home for nature-loving people. Idyllic location between Keszthely and Heviz.
Thatched houses are made of mashed clay and straw, the roof is covered with cut reeds. This gives a pleasant coolness in summery temperatures, in winter the heat stays constant for a long time. Thatched houses are protected in Hungary and are less and less common. The house is about 250 years old. The house has a garden with about 2000m2, which is available for sole use. The fencing of the garden is partially demarcated with wild hedge or fence. At the house there is a small covered terrace and a large natural stone terrace with garden furniture. The house can be heated with single ovens, hot water is available.
For cure and bathing lake in Heviz it is approx. 1.5 km, to the Balaton approx. 3 km.
