This is the very first hotel open for business in Split. Located within the walls of Diocletian's palace, directly above roman baths. Hotel offers unique rooms with terrace overlooking the streets of the Palace and old town Split.
Hotel Slavija is situated within the walls of Diocletian’s palace, right in the heart of Split, making it a perfect place to stop by, dine and continue your exploring of the amazing Old town.
The hotel is only 3 m from the Jupiter’s temple and 40 m from the Cathedral of St. Domnius. It is also convenient upon your arrival or departure since it is only 900 m from the harbor, railroad and bus terminal, including the airport shuttle bus. And finally, an ideal place to have lunch followed by coffee on our famous Riva (promenade) which is 65 m from the hotel.
Hotel is located in the private, southern part of Diocletian’s Palace, above the emperor’s private baths. The visitors would be able to view traces of antique wall, arches and stone.
The hotel rooms are situated on four floors of a hotel building, which, in addition to the recently built modern elevator, connects the centrally located staircase partially ornamented with original wall constructions of the building which especially express the heritage identity of the hotel and its special historical story.
Slavija is the hotel with the longest continuity of work inside the walls of Diocletian’s Palace, which is one of the most important structures of late antique architecture in Europe.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, telephone, cable TV, WiFi, private bathroom with shower or bath and hairdryer and free toiletries.
Recently renovated, all hotel rooms feature carpeted floors throughout the room.
