At Lilly’s Cozy Cove, we open our door to welcome you into our comfortable and eclectically decorated rooms, with a view to the sea and/or our scented, colorful and bountiful garden for the enjoyment of all of your senses. Our goal is to provide an ideal Croatia holiday for every guest, and this is how we do it.
In the morning, wake up to the lively chirping of the birds. Start your day with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, sipped slowly while sitting outside on the balcony, looking out to the sea or our garden buzzing with bees.
After the easy-going morning, take a 5-minute walk to the Tisno pebble beach for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear water. Let your spirit be calmed by the smell of salty water mixed with pine tree sap and the sound of Dalmatian crickets.
If you prefer a more active vacation, join us for biking or hiking tours to explore the nearby magic coves and other hidden treasures of Nature.
At night, after a full day of exploration and rejuvenation, come back home for a full taste buds treat – a homemade dinner, prepared to order by chef Joe. At night, take a stroll around narrow, cobblestone streets of Tisno, walk up to one of the churches on the hill and enjoy the full panoramic view of the city at night. Close your day with crawling under the soft cotton sheets, and let the lullaby of the Dalmatian crickets sing you to sleep.
Our apartments are equipped with cotton sheets, towels and kitchen towels for each guest, washed in a scent-free eco detergent. Each apartment has a wifi, a TV and a desk. For families with small children, we can place outlet covers upon request.
Each kitchen has a refrigerator and a stove to give our guests an opportunity to prepare their own meals easily and efficiently. There is also an assortment of gadgets from pots and pans, quality knives and other necessary utensils and condiments (locally made olive oil, salt, pepper, vinegar, sugar, coffee, dish detergent).
HOW TO GET TO US
BY BUS
Croatia has an excellent intercity bus system. Check out for intercity bus destinations.
To get to us by bus, your destination city is either Sibenik or Vodice.
From Sibenik, a local bus drives into Tisno several times a day. Ask us for the local bus schedule!
Visiting Krka and Plitvice National Parks by bus
With GetByBus you can take a day trip to see Krka National Park, and then another bus to the Plitvice National Park.
Another way to get to Plitvice National Park is by bus from Zadar.

Lilly’s Cozy Cove was created by a duo composed of a chef/teacher imported from Chicago, and a Doctor of Anthropology/teacher/gardener who grew up in Croatia and lived in the US for 2 decades, before returning back home. The first part of our life partnership we spent in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, and are now realizing our next dream, in a cove of a small village of Tisno on the Croatian coast.
When young, Joe thought he was going to be an artist, but life took on a different turn. At the age of 16, he began cooking professionally, falling in love with another kind of art - edible art. His specialty is Italian cuisine, and his favorite meals to create are risotto, branzino (sea bass), tiramisu and international comfort food in general. Laura’s passion lies in growing food, hiking, teaching and exploring people and cultures from all over the world.
We chose to settle down on the Dalmatian coast for the richness of its islands and inlets, its healthy cuisine based on fish and vegetables, and numerous pristine beach coves and biking routes. We chose Tisno to become our home because of its rejuvenating and relaxing small-town feeling, slow pace living, its amenities being in a walking distance from our home, and its vicinity to numerous pristine nature areas for biking and hiking.
We believe in creating a care-free, eco-friendly, and comfortable home away from home for our guests, a principle we use to guide us in how we name and decorate our apartments. We make ourselves available to our guests to fulfill whatever needs they have, from suggesting local restaurants, natural and cultural places to explore, or sharing a cup of coffee in our yard. We are all about creating a quiet and relaxing vacation spot for our guests.
We work in harmony with nature and local people, growing our own food, cooking it with love, feeding all living beings, and living simply. When we are not cooking, digging or growing, we are hiking, biking, reading, loving on our two furry kids, or just relaxing on one of our favorite beaches.
