This private oasis boasts an open summerhouse, a wine pergola, a barbeque, a firepit, an outdoor shower, a fruit garden, swings and a playground for kids. The small but cosy cabin and a big yard offer a simple, intimate and restful retreat.

Welcome to Okić! Only 30 minutes from Zagreb and Airport, Karlovac or Samobor, and 15 minutes from Jastrebarsko and highway exit Zdenčina, this secluded place in the forest hills is a paradise for nature lovers looking for a getaway retreat.
The traditional 100-year-old tiny cabin (35 m²) has an eco character and offers a close connection to the nature. Enjoy the shade or the starry skies from the cabin's porch or from several sitting spots in the garden.
Compactly designed with a 'slow' pace in mind, we hope you’ll enjoy every part of your stay at Okić.
The cabin consists of the ground floor, a sleeping loft and a porch.
The ground floor consists of a living space with a kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower.
The cabin has a rainwater-in-pipe system (both hot and cold). Drinking water is available from a water dispenser. In the small but well-equipped kitchen there is a big fridge, as well as a glass ceramic hob (2/1) and an oven, a big sink, a kettle and cookware: pots and frying pans, dinnerware, cutlery, different kitchen utensils, caffettiera (moka pot), napkins and more... An antique cupboard contains herbs from our herb garden, tea, black coffee, sugar, salt, different spices, oil, vinegar etc.
There is also a breakfast bar table and a sofa. A wooden stove and an electric heater are there for colder days (wood is provided), and a fan for warm summer days.
Stairs specially designed for tiny spaces lead to a romantic sleeping loft under the roof. With the king size bed in the middle and 2 mattress on the platform under the slope, it works great for a couple or a family with kids or a group of friends. The loft has a small balcony with an amazing view of the valley and Zagreb in distance.

If you like cherries, the best time to visit is in May or early June when our fruityard is covered in all shades of red. Okić is also known for its native variety of cherry "Okić cherries".
Feel free to explore and enjoy in the spacious floral garden. Have a lovely spread on a huge wooden table with the closest one(s) in the open summerhouse. You can cook outdoors on the gas stove or make a barbecue.
Feel free to light a fire for a snack in the firepit. Have a breakfast under the pergola. During hot summer days, enjoy the relaxing solar shower surrounded only by pure nature, and pick something for an afternoon tea in the herb garden. A well-equipped garden provides children with a big playground space to express themselves through outdoor possibilities like walking the slackline, playing in the sand, or just hanging out in the hammock.
House has also a corner with books, games and toys.

Renting a day for peaceful hanging out with friends during the day, make a barbecue, celebrations, team building and similar occasions is possible at extra fee for 6-30 people.

Plešivica - Okić hills are best known for vineyards and it has a rich and long history and tradition in winemaking. The area, because of the configuration of the terrain and the climate, is ideal for the cultivation of grape vines.
This is a continental wine region located an hour-long drive from Croatia’s capital Zagreb. It is a south part of Žumberak mountains with an east-west orientation. Even though it has only 2,300 hectares of vineyards, Plešivica is one of the most interesting continental regions. Although it is the smallest wine region, it is best known as home of Croatian sparkling wines.
Tasting excellent continental white and red wines followed with a hearty, traditional lunch full of authentic dishes is the perfect way to really experience the picturesque Okić county and Plešivica.

Area around Okić covers the farthest south-eastern part of the Samobor hills, about 20 km south-west of Zagreb, on the half way between Samobor and Jastrebarsko. The most attractive point of the area is Okić with Old Town on its rocks. It is one of the oldest medieval feudal towns of distinctive preserved Romanic architecture on exceptional position and is regarded as unique in the continental part of Croatia. All neighboring places carry its name – Novo Selo Okićko, Sv. Martin pod Okićem as well as famous Okić cherries. Woodlands are in the west and vineyards and orchards cover the southern slopes. In its lower areas where hilly terrain merges with plain there are more and more meadows and fields.

From our cabin you can choose a few directions to hike the „Jaska hiking trails“ in the surrounding forests. You can take an easy hike around 30 minutes to the ruins of Old Town Okić to witness amazing views. Hiking and rock-climbing mountaineering on rocks around Old Town begins at mountaineers' lodge Maks Plotnikov where they serve traditional food on weekends. You can also take the nearby educational trail „Okićnica“, or take a hike to the peaks of Plešivica mountain. The nearest one, Popovdolska pećina, is 20 minutes away from the cabin.
If you prefer shorter walks, just take an easy 5 minute walk to the nearby spring in the forest.
