Robinson Camp Žumberak is a small, eco-friendly campsite located in the heart of Nature Park Žumberak, near Zagreb, Croatia. Surrounded by forest and untouched nature, the camp is designed for travelers seeking a peaceful, low-impact stay and a genuine connection with the natural environment.
Our concept is based on sustainable, Robinson-style tourism – simple living, minimal environmental footprint and respect for nature. We actively promote eco-conscious practices such as rainwater collection and reuse, mindful resource consumption, and low-impact accommodation integrated into the landscape.
A key part of our identity is our eco garden, where seasonal, organic vegetables are grown. Guests often have the chance to enjoy fresh produce directly from the garden, shared by your host Franjo, creating a truly authentic and local experience.
We offer a variety of nature-based accommodation, including tent pitches, unique hanging tree tents, and small wooden cabins, all designed to blend harmoniously with the surroundings. The camp remains intentionally small and quiet, with limited capacity to preserve privacy and the natural balance of the area.
Guests have access to shared eco-oriented facilities, including hot showers (heated using traditional methods), a shared kitchen, and simple sanitary facilities. Everything is designed to provide basic comfort while encouraging a more conscious and sustainable way of living.
Located directly on a hiking trail, the camp is an ideal base for exploring the protected landscapes of Žumberak. We also offer a wooden hall for workshops and small retreats, supporting mindful and nature-connected activities.

Respect nature and the surroundings - Our campsite is located in Nature Park Žumberak. Please treat nature with care and leave no trace. Quiet hours - To preserve the peaceful atmosphere, please keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 PM. Waste management - Please dispose of waste responsibly and use the designated bins. Shared facilities - Bathrooms, showers and kitchen are shared with other guests. Please keep them clean and tidy after use. Fire safety - Open fires are only allowed in designated areas and depending on weather conditions (fire bans may apply). Water usage - As we use collected rainwater, please use water mindfully. Access - The road to the campsite is gravel and slightly uphill. It is suitable for cars and smaller vans, but not for large campervans. Check-in & check-out - Please respect agreed arrival and departure times. Pets - Pets are welcome if supervised and respectful of other guests and wildlife. Respect the community - This is a small, peaceful campsite. Please respect other guests and enjoy the quiet, nature-based experience.
