The Villa Averoff, a 19th century historic property on Evia, one of the most beautiful and unspoilt islands of Greece linked to the mainland with a bridge, a two hour drive from Athens. Surrounded by verdant mountains, close to beautiful beaches.
Set on the outskirts of a village, facing the church and the old stables a listed building, the Villa Averoff consists of two large traditional mansions and three smaller buildings, these dated from the beginning of the 19 century. The buildings are set in terraced gardens were one can sit in lovely shady corners. There is also an isolated inviting swimming pool, as well as an organic vegetable garden and a mini farm.
The Red House has a high-ceilinged sitting room with a huge fireplace opens out on a tiled terrace overlooking the romantic garden. The kitchen and 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathroom are also on the ground floor next to the living room. A wooden stairway leads up to the landing and the three double bedrooms which are on the first floor. The master bedroom with an en-suite modern shower and the bedroom next to it opens on to a wide stone balcony looking out over the garden and the hilly countryside. All four bedrooms are furnished in a simple unpretentious style, with wooden floors and fireplaces. There is a large bathroom and a WC on the same floor.
