One of the TOP 10 best Campsites in the UK
Our organic sustainable croft at the northern end of Eigg, offers a range of accommodation for visitors, all looking Westwards over the Atlantic Ocean towards the Isle of Rum.
We offer:
- traditional Mongolian yurt
- bothy sleeping up to four
- pitching for your tent
Our 15ft yurt comfortably sleeps three on a double and single futon. There is a full-size cooker and everything needed for basic self-catering accommodation, along with a wood burning stove for warmth. The yurt is lit with solar powered lamps and has a wooden carpeted floor.
Regardless of the number of visitors, the yurt costs £50 per night or £55 for one night. This cost includes wood, gas, bedding and collection from the pier.
The campsite in Cleadale is the only designated camping area on Eigg. Campers choose their own site in a field looking west over the Atlantic Ocean towards the Isle of Rum and Outer Hebrides with spectacular views and the opportunity of beautiful sunsets.
Costs are £5 per person per night.
An outside sink and compost toilet are provided for campers convenience. Our house extension is now complete which means showers and a flushing toilet are five minutes from the camping area.
Converted from the original croft cattle shed, the Cleadale Bothy offers basic self-catering accommodation for up to four people. Costs of £50 per night (regardless of number of people staying) include bedding, wood, gas and electricity. Single night bookings are £55.
Bespoke gardening courses in growing organic vegetables, from seed to plate, are available on our sustainable croft. Let us know what you would like to know about growing vegetables, when you would like to come and the number of days you would like to attend, and we will try to accommodate your needs.
