Willow - Quirky, Static Campervan in the Cotswolds
Escape to Willow, a beautifully handcrafted off-grid glamping van in the Cotswolds.
Willow is a beautifully handcrafted, off-grid glamping van nestled at the foot of Bredon Hill, in the Cotswolds. Lovingly designed and built by artist Samantha Dadd and her son, this unique retreat combines creative design, comfort and a closer connection with nature.
Set beside an organic cottage garden planted according to permaculture principles, Willow offers a peaceful place to slow down and enjoy the countryside. Large windows open onto leafy views, while the shaded position beneath the trees keeps the van cool during warmer days.
Inside, you'll find a fixed king-size bed with a high-quality 10-inch mattress, comfortable bedding, soft cushions and throws, as well as a cosy seating area. The van is fully insulated for year-round comfort and features blackout blinds, a roof fan, storage space, a clothes rail and charging points.
Willow is powered by solar energy, which provides electricity for the lighting, fridge, kettle and charging points. Drinking and washing water is supplied in refillable containers, while a ceramic wash bowl, towels and handmade toiletries with organic essential oils are provided.
As a true off-grid experience, Willow has no plumbed-in water, indoor bathroom or kitchen. Guests have access to an outdoor toilet tent and an outdoor cooking area equipped with a one-ring camping stove and a small barbecue. Crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and cooking utensils are provided.
Outside, guests have exclusive use of a private picnic area surrounded by seasonal flowers – a lovely spot for breakfast, reading or simply enjoying the tranquillity of the garden.
Willow is located in Conderton, at the foot of Bredon Hill, with numerous beautiful walking routes starting right from the accommodation. Just 100 metres away, The Yew Tree Inn is a traditional Cotswolds pub serving local food and real ale.
The location is also ideal for exploring the wider Cotswolds. Historic Tewkesbury, Evesham, Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle are around 15 minutes away by car, while Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester and Stratford-upon-Avon can be reached in around 25 minutes. Prestbury Racecourse is approximately 10 minutes away, and numerous picturesque Cotswold villages are within easy reach.
A bespoke guidebook is provided to help guests discover the area, with information about local shops, cafés and restaurants, walking routes, Cotswold attractions and seasonal events.
Willow is perfect for travellers looking for an unusual and peaceful base in the Cotswolds, whether for a short stopover, a countryside escape or a few days spent exploring the surrounding villages and landscapes.
