In the Isle of Mull 8 wonderful cottages await you in the middle of a wonderful landscape, full of wildlife.
Treshnish & Haunn cottages are pet friendly typical cottages located on a spectacular coastal farm, near Calgary, on the Isle of Mull. It's the perfect place to enjoy wildlife, bird-watching, walking and exploring the countryside and the coastline.
Situated beside and nearby the original farmhouse built in the 1790’s, Shian, Duill, Shieling and Studio make up the four Treshnish Cottages. These lie just under a mile from the public road along the slow, uneven farm track and each enjoy sea views over towards Coll and beyond.
Each cottage is individually furnished with an eclectic blend of vintage and contemporary furniture, with original artwork and paintings.
A further one mile along the unsealed farm track from the Treshnish farmstead, out onto the point, sit the more remote Haunn Cottages: Toechtamhor, East, West and Middle. The route is slow (about 20 minutes), passing through grassy fields with up to four gates that may need to be opened and closed (depending on which animals are grazing where), overlooking the magnificent sea vista.
The Haunn cottages have been popular Isle of Mull holiday cottages since the 1970’s.
They have all been carefully renovated and beautifully restored in keeping with their history and their exceptional location. These ‘blackhouses’ are small, simple yet charming, cottages. Even the recent addition of electricity brings little apparent change to their peaceful atmosphere. In keeping with their original character, these remote cottages do not have T.V.s, washing machines or microwaves.
