L'Orri de Planès
The Orri de Planès is a lodging inn on a human scale that combines design, quality accommodation and good food with an environmental policy.
L'Orri is located at an altitude of 1550 m in the small mountain village of Planès. Known for its 11th century Roman church, the village has a station on the Petit Train Jaune line and is located just 5 km from the fortified town of Mont Louis.
The natural setting is exceptional. In summer, it is a paradise for hikers: two long-distance hiking trails (the GR10 and the GR36) run along the gîte property and the Vallée de Planès, the Bains de Saint Thomas, the Têt gorges, the peak du Cambre d'Aze and even the Sanctuary of Nuria (in Spain) are within walking distance.
By car, the Bouillouses lakes, the Eyne valley and the Carança gorges are a few minutes away.
In winter, it is a paradise for snow sports enthusiasts: the alpine resort of Cambre d'Aze is 2 km away and the larger resorts of Font Romeu and Les Angles as well as the cross-country ski circuits of La Llose and Calm are less than 15 km away.
Our lodging has 9 comfortable guest rooms (24 places), a dining room with fireplace, a living room with library and a children's corner. Rental is by room or in full (with meals) for seminars, family reunions, etc.
The Terraces (campsite)
Our small camping area next to the Planès stream is surrounded by magnificent forests. Possibility to rent 4 "eco-yurts" (cabins equipped for up to 4 people) and 4 pitches for small tents.
In summer, all guests can enjoy the terrace of the Orri (with its continuous service of drinks, tapas, etc.) and the swimming pool, treated with salt and heated by the gite's solar collectors.
La table de l'Orri, customers savor delicious meals prepared with quality ingredients from a network of more than 30 organic and local suppliers.
The menus are varied and balanced, alternating meat and vegetarian dishes. Local cheeses, desserts and house organic wines complete the meals.

The warm atmosphere of the common areas and the large oak tables in the dining room invite guests to share and transform the house into a forum for exchange between people and cultures.
As mountain people, we wanted to design and run a hostel that works in harmony with nature: we make great efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of the Orri at all levels (energy, water, food, waste, household, economy, finance, etc.).
