Our detached holiday home is located in the heart of Corsica. Situated at an altitude of 758m at the foot of Monte d'Oro (2389m), it lies directly on the GR 20 hiking trail, bordering the Parc Naturell. We have ecologically restored it and equipped it with solar energy.
Our rustic, detached holiday home – built in 1883 (!) – is located right in the center of the island. At an altitude of 758 meters, it sits at the foot of Monte d'Oro (2389 meters), directly on the GR 20 hiking trail at the edge of the Parc Naturell. The thick natural stone walls ensure a cool, pleasant indoor climate in summer; during the other seasons, the house is heated with a closed fireplace and a traditional Danish wood-burning stove. At the front of the property is the main house with a 20 sq m terrace, an attached guest room, and green spaces for relaxation.
At the rear of the very large property is our summer chalet with a garage and a tiny house. The ambiance of this ecologically renovated (solar hot water system), modernized, and historic natural stone house offers you absolute peace, relaxation, and rejuvenation. See photos for room details. Please note: The upstairs bedroom door is 1.60 meters high (built in 1883), and access to the guest room is via the covered terrace.

Our land boasts the oldest Corsican pines (Laricio pines), and the region, including the forest and maquis shrubland, is the island's "green lung." A bird expert has counted over 50 species here, including the magnificent red kite (Racoire aux Culinari)! Every season has its own charm: the Mediterranean climate is pleasant, with winters usually mild and sunny; in summer, our chestnut trees provide welcome shade. Excursions and hikes are available for both short and long trips: Vizzavona, the Cascade Anglais waterfall, the Manganello Valley with its fantastic swimming holes, or to the refuges: Onda and Pietra Piana, or into the Restonica Valley and to Aleria's east coast. Alternatively, you can take the train to Corte via the Eiffel Bridge, to Ajaccio, or to Bastia/and Calvi on the coast.
Our neighbor offers guided horseback riding excursions for all ages. The village has three restaurants serving Corsican cuisine at reasonable prices. Regional products such as Corsican cheese, coppa, lonzo, and ham come directly from our neighbors. Children are welcome and have plenty of space to play outdoors and with animals. Free parking is available in front of the house.
