Organic place to stay close to vineyards and forest and best spots to visit in Alsace ! natural estate, 5 rooms with private bathrooms available all year round
Nestled in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Natural Park, at the end of a peaceful road in the charming village of Katzenthal, Vignoble Klur is more than just a vineyard — it's an inspiring eco-place that brings together nature, creativity, and sustainable living.
The Klur family has been winemakers in Katzenthal since the 17th century, and in 1999, Clément and Francine Klur founded a small organic and biodynamic wine estate. Since 2000, they have been pioneers of ecotourism and wine tourism in Alsace. In 2017, together with their daughter Elisa, they began a new chapter: embracing joyful simplicity and downsizing to a two-hectare micro-estate, complemented by a small farm and a multifaceted living space.
Today, Elisa continues the legacy with a creative twist: she leads the estate while also exploring her passion for jewelry and silversmithing, under the label TACK&GLOU — a celebration of free fermentation, both of grapes and ideas.
The Vignoble Klur experience includes:
Private eco-houses with gardens, perfect for families (1 to 8 guests), with full autonomy and the option of a contactless stay.
La Maison des Voyageurs – a warm coliving space with private rooms (min. 2 nights), shared kitchen and lounges, where travelers and creatives connect through the seasons.
Nature all around: hiking trails from your doorstep, wine and vineyard workshops on-site, and curated suggestions for local activities.
Digital detox: a deliberate invitation to slow down, disconnect, read, write, and dream.
Seasonal exhibitions, artist residencies, and workshops around art, literature, and all things fermented — part of the community program Katz&Co.
For those seeking deeper immersion, La Maison des Étangs in the Southern Vosges offers a week-long retreat in total silence and natural beauty: no TV, limited internet, spring water, and 1,500 surrounding ponds in what locals call “Little Finland.”
Whether you are a traveler, hiker, artist, or someone simply searching for meaning and stillness, Vignoble Klur is a joyful and colorful haven — a place to reconnect with the land, with others, and with yourself.
