Our small eco-finca La Tanquilla is located in the southwest of Tenerife at 750m above sea level. N. in the small mountain village of Aripe, close to Guia de Isora. You don't notice much of mass tourism here. You can start hiking directly from the house on several hiking trails.

Our place was lovingly built and planted by the previous owners in the old Canarian style and with many small details and radiates beauty, peace and quiet. It is ideal as a location for a relaxing holiday in nature. - At night you don't hear anything apart from the occasional dog and it's very quiet during the day too.
At the same time, we would also like to invite people who are in a phase of life in which they would like to dedicate themselves to introspection, would like to take time for an intensive physical or mental healing process and/or are looking for inspiration and new visions. We are happy to accompany these processes therapeutically and healingly.
We offer the possibility to get the meals (vegan/vegetarian) and sessions of Yoga,Qi Gong, Creative Dance (also suitable for kids), Vocal Expression and Meditation.
Sebas offers Sound and Magnetic Healing.
We are ecologically oriented. The water is heated by solar cells in the summer months. Most of the wastewater is used as irrigation water for the fruit trees. That's why we only use ecological soaps, detergents and dishwashing liquids. We have a completely organic, small fruit and vegetable garden. We are currently working on permaculture and are in the process of networking more and more with other permaculture projects and eco fincas for mutual support and inspiration.
We try to avoid plastic and prefer to buy local products directly from the manufacturer or on the market. We are happy to pass on our sources of supply to our guests here.
Furnishings and utensils in the house are mostly made of wood or metal; A lot of things are bought second hand.
We have a very good relationship with our (mainly Canarian) neighbors in town and active contact with the local population is important to us.
We also support climate-friendly travel through CO 2 compensation for flights with “Atmosfair” and by using public transport. We are happy to help organize car-free trips.
As a couple and as a family we live “awareness”, this has different aspects for us.
We share our devotion to a higher power, our love of nature, and the joy of meeting and connecting with ourselves and other people.
In La Tanquilla we regularly organize “Circulos de Compartir” (exchange circles), in which we meet with our friends to exchange ideas on a heart-to-heart level in the spirit of a circle culture.
We also like to exchange ideas with our guests, to the extent that it suits both sides at the given moment.

We had a lovely relaxing time in Casa Rural La tanquilla. The hosts Eugenia and Sebastian were very friendly and we have been very well looked after by them. They even prepared a nice vegetarian supper at our arrival, since we arrived a bit late in the evening. The house is big and cosy, the area is very peaceful and relaxing, there are several tracks behind the house to go hiking in the nature. That's exactly what we needed to disconnect . We highly recommend this place if you want to evade from the daily routine. Thanks for everything Eugenia and Sebastian. See you next time!

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche bei Barbara und Chetan! Das Haus ist im Grünen gelegen und sehr ruhig. Die alten Gemäuer des schön renovierten Hauses haben uns sehr gefallen. Umgeben von einem verwunschenen Garten und einem tollen Ausblick aufs Meer können wir die Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Chetan und Barbara sind zwei herzliche Gastgeber:innen und waren immer für uns da, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Ein besonderes Highlight war eine Behandlung bei Barbara in ihrem kleinen aber feinen Therapieraum. Eine ganz besondere Erfahrung!

The accomondation from Barbara is placed in a small village in the mountains. The atmosphere is amazing and you can start hiking right at the house. The owners offer fresh herhs for cooking and teas.
There is plenty of room and a nice roof deck where you can relax or make yoga etc.
There is a very warm, helpful and welcomig atmosphere. It was a great stay for a time out and we had respectful discussions about very different topics.

So much more than just an accommodation... Very friendly hosts from Germany welcomed & informed us well. To get there, a car and good driving is absolutely recommended.
La Tanqilla is a small house connected to the host's house but without interference. Everything is tiny in size, but well equipped and thought through. We had the impression to stay in a real Canarian house off the beaten track but still close enough to shops, beaches and sights on Teneriffa.
The kitchen, for example, was the best-equipped one in matters of cooking utensils and quality. Some expect it as standard, but having travelled a lot and stayed in many apartments on the canary islands, we know it is not standard. The filtered water makes a huge difference. We were allowed to enjoy the garden and our kids the trampoline. The hosts' son befriended quickly with our older daughter. I can imagine that she will remember their adventures through the fruit garden and the adjacent mountain trails forever!
