Lo De Carta is a rural property that dates from the 18th century. Built in the purest Canarian style amidst a vineyard in the process of recuperation. It boasts a Bodega traditional press & wheat circle with stunning views.
At 765 metres high, Lo de Carta has spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and Gran Canaria far below. It is situated above the village of Arafo on the road leading to the Teide National Park on the east side of the Island of Tenerife.
It nestles amongst the slopes of large vineyard that is in process of recuperation. The house has been a long term love of mine and now has been left to me by my other that owns it. The idea is that through the renting of the accommodation and other activities I am able to fully restore it . The Land surrounding the property is certified organic and we are in the process of creating a beautiful kitchen garden that will allow guests to pick fresh produce to consume in season.
The house is fully powered by the sun and I have recently been able to add a new solar energy system to our voltaic capability, making it a total 5,000 kw. I believe that through expierence of living in such a space one is able to understand more clearly our valuable rescources.
The house was built in the 18th century and still retains its true canarian country style architecture. The house has 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms kitchen dining room and living room with operating fireplace as well as wall mounted heaters in the bedrooms. The house is entered from a patio and leads to a Bodega (not in use due to restuaration) and traditional wine press, one of the finest on the island. Caratteristica e isolata "masseria" con torchio e florido giardino, circondata da terrazzamenti di vite, lungo una delle strade che portano al Vulcano Teide (piccola deviazione per il monte Los Fraires). Splendida vista oceano e valle sottostante. A una decina di km di strada collinare dalla vicina cittadina di Arafo (bar di provincia, supermercato e benzinaio). A circa 30 km da Santa Cruz de Tenerife e circa 50 km dall'aereoporto Sud (raggiungibili con la tangenziale TF-2, a 15 km dalla casa). Ospiti molto accoglienti e disponibili ma discreti.
In casa lampadine fluorescenti (ad accensione lenta e consumi più elevati delle equivalenti a led) e riscaldamento con pannelli elettrici a parete che, se accesi insieme ad altre apparecchiatture, fanno saltare l'interrutore; dall'esterno visibili sul tetto dei pannelli solari con serbatoio per l'acqua.

I am so happy you had a great time and you enjoyed the weather .. I am very interested in the experience you had with the heating panels as they are new and the lowest wattage we could get . Do you mean when you put them on the electricity went ? Did u have all three on ? Or just with one ? Because then we really need to look where the energy is going ?
