The Wild Olive Andalucía

A traditional Finca, nestled above the Costa del Sol, bordering the province of Cádiz on 7 hectares of lush, rolling hills with stunning views. Just a short, 8km drive from the coast and the same distance from the picturesque 'white village' of Casares.

Originally a horse stable, the Wild Olive Farmhouse is on the lower level of the Finca and has been reformed into a charming guest-house style accommodation with private rooms and spacious common areas. Although we rent the individual rooms, when you reserve this listing (the entire farmhouse) it is completely private to you and your group. *NOTE FOR RENTING IN THE WINTER MONTHS (Dec - March)* As it is a large old farmhouse, staying in the winter months can be chilly. There is energy efficient heating, but this is a place to pack an extra sweater to wear instead of expecting a piping hot room at all times.

There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. (2 in-suite)

This Citrus Suite consists of 2 separate bedrooms, each with a double bed, (or 2 singles upon request). The bedrooms both open up to a comfortable, bright lounge with a dining table and seating area, a small private patio and a bathroom with an extra large shower.

The Palma room features a cozy bedroom and a more-than-spacious common area to relax. The guest room has a modern, newly designed bathroom. In the salon, you will find a dining table, a small sofa bed that sleeps two and a window view of our rock garden. The private bedroom includes a double bed or 2 singles upon request.

The Agave, features a double bed (or 2 singles upon request). An antique wooden archway gives way to a calming nook for some extra space. Just outside your door, you will find a petite bathroom.

Aside from the guest rooms, The Farmhouse has a large kitchen: a gas stove and oven, refrigerator, cooking utensils and a farm-style dining table that can seat up to 15. The appliances are modest but all you need. Next to the kitchen you will find a lounge area with a flat screen television and then a large game room with a pool table and table tennis.

The Kitchen opens up to a large covered terrace with a dining table and seating that overlook a grassy area for games and then the swimming pool with mountain and field views. The terrace has a large outdoor charcoal grill for barbecuing.

The surrounding "campo" is very special with wild flowers, avocado, fruit, nut and citrus trees. We have friendly chickens that roam and 2 horses and a donkey that "summer vacation" with us for 5 or 6 months to trim our grass. There are no other buildings in sight, and you can only hear nature and the occasional wind turbines while you are relaxing on your holiday. This is an idyllic place to disconnect a little and maybe reconnect with your friends and family or other travelers.

****For the standard season, there is always a 2-night minimum requirement for the Farmhouse. In the high season and holidays, we have a longer minimum stay requirement. Listed below for the remainder of the 2023 year:
