Welcome to Casa da Cabaza, a boutique Bed and Breakfast in a lovingly converted old farmhouse, located on the shores of a tranquil lake in the Galician countryside of northwestern Spain. We have stylish country rooms that retain a traditional Galician farmhouse feel while providing modern needs and comforts. Our organic vegetarian breakfasts are delicious and healthy. Our B&B in this beautiful countryside environment is for adults and children over the age of twelve years. There is wifi, but no TV.

Staying at Casa da Cabaza means being close to nature and the outdoors in a tranquil and peaceful environment. The house lies by a mostly abandoned hamlet on the shore of a lake in southern Lugo province. You will wake to a chorus of birdsong and perhaps the tinkling of cow bells in the distance. There are plenty of places to relax in the garden with a refreshing drink and a good book, and a few hammocks for day-dreaming. On clear nights you can watch the moon slowly rise. As the area is scarcely populated there is little light pollution. Watching stars on clear night is really magical!

We offer five en-suite guest rooms. Each is unique with original art works on the walls. The comfortable rooms retain the traditional features of a Galician farmhouse with thick stone walls, chestnut beam ceilings and wooden or stone floors.

The lounge is a welcoming place where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning and refreshments during the evening. The striking chestnut tables and buffet bar were handmade for us by a talented local craftsman. The lounge offers some board games, along with various books and magazines for guests to enjoy. There is also seating on the two garden terraces with views of the lake and the countryside or you can enjoy some peace and quiet somewhere under a tree.
