Las Calas is a seventeenth century manor house, located in the heart of the island of Gran Canaria. Located in the pretty hamlet of La Lechuza, in full Vega of San Mateo, its reconstruction has respected all elements of the traditional architecture of the area.
In 1998 Magüi Carratalá undertook its restoration and conversion into the current Hotel Las Calas. In his rehabilitation he was not strictly observed conception of its original architecture. A successful combination of wood and stone, geometric shapes and warm natural colors, where structural classicism meets modernity and decorative interior to details.
