La Almunia del Valle is ideally situated for visitors to Granada: Located at only 8 km from the old town of Granada with the amazing Alhambra, a UNESCO world heritage site, and only 20 km from the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, our boutique hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility.
José Manuel Plana and Patricia Merino are the owners and souls of Granada hotel, La Almunia del Valle, a charming and small boutique hotel.
Both hosts and all members of staff take care of every detail and focused on providing their customers with the highest level of comfort and care, offering the traveler a ‘home away from home’ feel.
The hotel is characterized by its "sensitivity to the natural environment": It has been renovated on the basis of an old "cortijo", a typical country property in the Sierra Nevada, which was originally built with absolute respect for its natural surroundings, an aspect we always took into consideration when making improvements. We also maintained the main material of the original construction - the stone. All roofs are flat and walk able, the main building is staggered at different heights adapting to the adjacent hill, offering beautiful views from each room of the mountains and valley.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Almunia del Valle. The peaceful location with stunning views and accommodation where care and attention to every detail is taken, make this hotel, a very special place. The staff are exemplary and Chef made sure our vegan diet was deliciously satisfied at every meal. We will definitely be back! Thank you to each and every one of the wonderful team who looked after us so fantastically.
