Restaurant
YAY offers a high-end plant-based, fusion restaurant, inspired by a passion for amazing food which is also sustainable and healthy, In the kitchen, we like to use tasty flavours from all over the world and benefit from the organic produce grown in our gardens and by local suppliers.
Accomodation
At YA we have luxury ensuite cabins with terraces and open views to the permaculture food forest, as well as cosy terraced cabins with shared bathrooms, nestled in vibrant and colorful medicinal gardens. We care about the future of our planet so we have built YAY in a sustainable way with natural materials from as nearby as possible.
The cabins are built with materials such as Colombian bamboo (Guadua), local clay, FSC certified wood, local palm and recycled glass bottles.
Activities
One of the main principles of permaculture is human wellbeing. We believe it starts with nutrition and continues with practices which cultivate energy and connection, for example Yoga, Meditation, Massage or Therapy, Walking in Nature and Visiting beautiful places. We have a stunning bamboo yoga shala overlooking the river, where Yoga classes, meditation practices, workshops and retreats frequently take place.
Permaculture project
We have built YAY based on the principles of Permaculture that guide us to mimic the patterns and relationships we find in nature and apply them to agriculture and ecological building, in conjunction with appropriate technology for energy, water and nature preservation. Permaculture involves lifestyle, enterprise, education and even economics. Every detail you find here has been part of years of researching, planning and work in order to demonstrate that being self-sustainable; growing your own food, medicine and building materials is completely possible and also enjoyable and highly rewarding!
