Above Minca, at an altitude of approximately 1,400 meters, Ecotopia is an ecolodge nestled within a 27-hectare private nature reserve in the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains in Colombia.
Here, you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with nature. Seven ecolodges welcome travelers in a simple and warm setting, surrounded by forest, mountains, and remarkable biodiversity. Each accommodation has a private terrace and composting toilet. Showers are shared, reflecting our commitment to minimizing the environmental impact of your stay.
A Place Designed with Respect for Life
Our ecological approach is an integral part of daily life here. We use 100% renewable energy, prioritize local materials for our construction (80% of our materials are local and eco-friendly), and develop practices inspired by permaculture. We plant native and fruit trees to help restore biodiversity and provide more resources for birds.
Tourism that supports the local area
Discovering Ecotopia also means meeting the people who bring the mountains to life. We offer experiences with local producers and artisans, focusing on coffee, cacao, panela (chocolate spread), and the traditional skills of the Wiwa indigenous people. These encounters allow you to better understand the region and support the people who live there.
An immersion in nature
From the resort, hike to waterfalls, observe birds, explore mountain trails, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet and the panoramic views. Far from the most frequented tourist areas, Ecotopia invites you to discover another side of Colombia: slower-paced, closer to nature, and more connected to the local people.

A deposit of 30% of the booking is required. Free cancellation up to 2 days before arrival (full refund). If the cancellation occurs less than 2 days before arrival, the deposit is non-refundable.
