Oceanvida Nature Retreat
What if your next getaway helped heal the planet? ✨ Nestled in the heart of Isla Fuerte, our eco-project isn't just a stay—it’s an immersion into a more conscious way of life, from regenerative agriculture to the protection of our tropical dry forest
Beyond Tourism: A Journey of Regeneration
At our eco-project on Isla Fuerte, we believe that travel should give back more than it takes. We’ve combined sustainable living with forest conservation and regenerative agriculture to create a sanctuary for those who care about the Earth. Our running water comes from the earth and it’s locally recycled. Our drinking water comes from the sky, then filtered. Our electricity comes from the sun. We grow our foods organically using regenerative agriculture techniques. Our plantains, bananas, coconuts, fruits and vegetables are all grown the same way.
The Stay: Our Tiny House offers a unique architectural experience, using sustainable materials to keep you cool and connected to the tropical dry forest around you. It has a loft / bedroom with fan, fully stocked kitchen, living area with dinning table, hammocks, al fresco bathroom with compost toilet. From our tiny house you are almost certain to see rare birds, sloths and iguanas—our most friendly neighbors of the forest.
The Blue Mind: We are just a 5-minute walk from secluded beaches and colorful coral reefs of the Caribbean, close enough to hear the sounds of the ocean, but far enough to feel the forest and its inhabitants. We use the concept of Blue Mind to promote the power of the ocean as a healer of body and mind.
We also offer professional courses in non-motorized water-sports and eco-tours designed to educate and inspire. Our leading guide and manager Miguel is an expert in ocean conservation and non-motorized watersports with BA and Master’s degrees from Florida International University in Miami, USA.
Isla Fuerte is a small tropical island located 12 km from the Colombian mainland with a traditional Caribbean vibe not yet assaulted by mass tourism. Whether you are watching rare birds in the canopy or snorkeling through crystal-clear waters, you are experiencing a lifestyle that respects the delicate balance of our island’s ecosystems.
Join us in the tropical dry forest and discover how peaceful—and exciting—sustainable living can be.
