The platform of the hummingbird is an ecological tourist accommodation located in the Valley of the municipality of Bahia Solano-Choco.
La Tarima del Colibri's main objective is to promote Bahia Solano as a natural and cultural destination highlighting the indigenous communities of the region and the exuberant nature that surrounds it.
We Lukas Geissberger and Luisa Alvarez are a Swiss-Colombian couple who have known the region since 2013; We have a space of 1,300 square meters in which we build three beautiful cabins and a natural environment committed to the conservation of flora and fauna.
Every day we strive to minimize the production of inorganic waste, promoting the consumption of local products.
We are looking for new sustainability alternatives such as the use of rainwater.
Bahia Solano is a municipality in the Choco department located between the Pacific sea and the jungle of the Baudo mountain range.
Bahia solano limits in the north with the municipality of Jurado and Carmen del Darien; to the east with the municipality of Bojaya to the south with the municipality of Nuqui and the upper Baudo and by the west with the Pacific Ocean.
The population of Bahia solano consists of 87% of Afro-descendants, 9% of indigenous Embera communities and 4% of mestizo population. With an approximate number of 9,400 inhabitants.
Thanks to its geographical location and its humid tropical climate, it is counted as one of the most biodiverse places in the world. Different mangrove species encompass an endless number of small ecosystems. Among its riches are the thousands of plants such as orchids and bromeliads. Countless endemic and migratory species surround this fantastic place; among them Birds, Reptiles and marine mammals.

Due to its location there is no land route that will take you to Bahia Solano.
