Hideaway Caye. Your Private Island

Are you in need of Adventure? Have you ever dreamt about washing up on a deserted island? Wouldn't it be great if the island already had a cool cabin and a bar and restaurant to serve you? You can still go out and catch your own lobster, conch, and fish. The family that lives on the island can clean and cook it for you while you sit in a hammock and drink rum punch. We make sure you will always remember this experience. Have a different vacation then all of your friends.

IT IS TIME TO UNPLUG! Hideaway Caye is a beautiful secluded mangrove island right in the middle of one of the most untouched reefs in the Carribbean. the island is kept in it's natural state. Elevated walkways wind throughout the island. Your stay on Hideaway Caye is unique because you will be the only guests staying on the island. The cabana is like a treehouse nestled in the mangroves with a breezy veranda and floor to ceiling windows. Fall asleep while listening to the wind and the waves lapping against the shoreline. The cabana is equipped with a very comfortale queen size bed. There is also a futon for an extra guest. The veranda is furnished with a large hammock and mahogany chairs to relax and enjoy the breeze.

Guests have access to kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling gear. The restaurant and bar are a short walk to your cabana. This is where your complimentry breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The bar and restaurant are opened to the public. We the owners live on the island to cook your meals and be your hosts to the neighboring reefs. Rest assured you are the only guests that will be staying on the island.

The only access to Hideaway Caye is by boat. We pick up at Sittee River Marina outside of Hopkin's Village around 12:00 PM. Drop off is at the same location around 10:00 AM.

Hideaway Caye is a great couples retreat or a fly fisherman's haven. Not for the faint of heart. Adventure is all around. From the moment you step on the boat you will remember this trip. Meals included with your stay usually consist of what you may encounter during your morning snorkel. You can try you luck and catch it yourself. If you have food concerns please contact us before booking. We can accommodate most food allergies and issues but we are far from shore and grocery stores so prior knowledge is necessary.

FAQ:
**How do I get there? From Belize International Airport you can take a local flight (Tropic or Maya Airlines) to Dangregia airstrip. From there you can taxi to Sittee River Marina.

**Is pick up always at 12:00 PM? Times can vary an hour here or there. The usual weather pattern winds pick up in the afternoon. It is also more relaxing when traveling to spend the night before you trip to the island in Hopkins. Then you can board the boat the next day without feeling rushed.

**How long should I stay? Most people think 2 nights is not enough. If you really want to decompress, unplug, snorkel and kayak 3 to 4 nights is fine.

**Can I have more then 2 people? The cabana has a queen size bed and futon. We have fit 4 people snuggly. The price is based on double occupancy. There is an additional charge of $100 USD per person per night over 2 people.

**What is included in our stay? Your stay at Hideaway Caye includes a one time transport back and forth to Sittee River Marina, breakfast lunch and dinner. Coffee and juices are included. Sodas and alcoholic beverages are an additional charge. Also included is unlimited use of kayaks, paddleboards and snorkeling. All taxes and park fees are included.

**What should I bring? Sunblock (ideally reef safe), your bathing suit, snacks, beach towel, money for your bar tab, and your sense of adventure.
