our cozy farm is situated in the south of carinthia, a region full of lakes and mountains. it is important for us to live ecologically and socialy responsible. we dont offer any luxury, but very rural, bright and clean rooms and nice surroundings.
You might feel a bit like you're in another world here, some say "like in the old days." Here you can stay overnight, relax, recharge, and experience an ecologically sustainable, self-sufficient farm in action. Besides our varied farm life, you'll find beautiful surroundings with warm lakes for swimming, high mountains, and extensive cycling trails.
We are a working farm with animals, so you might occasionally hear the rooster crowing. Our goats have a fenced pasture, and the chickens roam freely.
The accommodation is suitable for couples, solo travelers, families (with children), large groups, and furry friends (pets).
We currently rent out four rooms in the main house.
Please note: the price per bed per night is valid for guests with their own sleeping bag or bed linen. We can provide bedding for a one-time fee of €6 per person.
The house has a shared shower/bathroom and toilet. A composting toilet is located behind the barn. The furniture is simple and handmade, very comfortable, and entirely organic.
Besides guests, the residents and sometimes helpers are present in the main house.
For self-catering, the fully equipped summer kitchen in the courtyard can be used.
(From November to March, the kitchen has no running water. Water can be obtained from the bathroom and heated in the kettle.)
Our summer kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, a refrigerator, a sink, and a dining area. Pots, pans, dishes, and numerous spices are also available.
Our gardens, the barn, and the animal pasture are open for viewing. Please pay attention to the door signs so that our feline friends don't steal our lettuce or cabbage.
We are happy for our guests to observe all our activities in the barn, garden, or house, whether it's caring for the animals, growing vegetables, or baking bread.
We're happy to share our own experiences and tips for hikes, bike rides, or other activities, and perhaps even join you.
On our cozy terrace or in the "chill-out lounge," we enjoy a glass of elderflower cordial or something else to chat about the day that's just passed, the next day's plans, or even to discuss making the world a better place ;-)
For those who want to get some exercise, our ping-pong table and trampoline are available for use.
We're located in a small hamlet of houses and farms at the quiet end of a cul-de-sac. Fields and woods are within walking distance, and the mountains, perfect for hiking, are visible on the horizon. If you need to shop or fill up your tank, you can drive to Eberndorf, 3 km away. The nearest restaurant, Café Lisi, is right on the main road at the turnoff to the village of Hart, about a 5-minute walk.
You can also travel here in an environmentally friendly way by train. The train stops at Völkermarkt-Kühnsdorf. The 5420 bus runs from the station forecourt to Hart/Eberndorf. Timetables can be found online at
I offer a shuttle service from Völkermarkt-Kühnsdorf train station for €10 or from Klagenfurt train station for €50. For guests arriving by train, I provide a bicycle free of charge, subject to availability.
