The house is located in the 16th district, called "Ottakring", 35 minutes from the city center. It combines sustainable urban lifestyle and nature in a unique way. From the first floor and the roof terrace you can enjoy great views over Vienna.
The house is close to the wonderful Wienerwald and the vineyards with many original "Heurigen" (traditional wine taverns). It is perfect for sightseeing or relaxing, walking or jogging in front of the door, a public swimming pool is 3 minutes away.
All cultural and historical sights in Vienna are easy to reach (e.g. St. Stephen's Cathedral, Schönbrunn, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Belvedere, Albertina, MAK - Museum of Applied Arts, the Opera, Theater an der Wien, Burgtheater, famous coffee houses, etc.), as are the Historical sites on the Danube in Lower Austria (1 hour distance), Budapest (2.5 hours), Salzburg (2.5 hours), Graz (2.5 hours), Bratislava (45 minutes), Prague (3.5 hours), the Lakes in the "Salzkammergut" (2 hours), Lake Neusiedl (40 minutes), skiing (starts in less than an hour, e.g. at Semmering).
The house is characterized by a natural transition between indoor and outdoor life and a combination of white walls and gray exposed concrete walls, wooden and stone floors, and large windows.
From the first floor and the roof terrace you can enjoy great views over Vienna.
The house was planned by a well-known Viennese architect's office (silver arrow architects). It was built as ecologically as possible and, despite its shifted cubature, is a low-energy house plus, so it has low energy consumption. We only use organic cleaning products, and the entire garden is kept organic. All textile living materials (bedding, covers, towels, etc.) are made from natural materials.
The living space for guests includes the upper floor and the ground floor.
The spacious living room with the open kitchen is on the upper floor. (The terrace upstairs has a gas grill.)
The bedrooms are on the ground floor:
Bedroom 1 has a bath and shower and views over Vienna. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have an exit to the garden and share a bathroom with shower and integrated toilet. Bedroom 4 with double bed opens onto the terrace in the garden, has a shower and a large washbasin.
There are two extra toilets, one downstairs and one upstairs.
There are three buses 200 meters (3 minutes) from our house, which take about 7 minutes to the subway (U3). But the walk down the hill is also very nice, at the foot of which there is, among other things, tram number 44, which runs through the 16th and 8th districts to the center.
The U3 goes to all important places in the city, also to the CAT, the express train to the airport at the "Wien Mitte" station.
There is parking for two cars on our property.
Our studio is in the basement, separate from the rest of the house and with its own entrance.
The price includes 10% VAT. and the Viennese local tax.
The Viennese accommodation law requires the filling out of a registration form.
