A hotel with a 100-year history
Built by a purveyor to the Imperial and Royal Court, the Hotel Erzherzog Rainer is a Viennese institution. Located in the heart of the "Freihausviertel" with its workshops and small specialty shops, this hotel is centrally located in Vienna and within walking distance of St. Charles Church, Belvedere Palace, the Musikverein, and the Opera House.
A family business remains a family business
After its founding in 1913, the hotel remained in the hands of the Nedomansky family for 80 years.
In 1994, the Nedomansky family sold the hotel to another dynasty, the Schick family, a family of hoteliers with an equally long tradition. Only a family business can continue the traditional values of a family business.
The families remain close friends to this day and celebrated the hotel's 100th anniversary in 2013 with a wonderful ceremony.
