Tante Anna is a small, lovingly renovated apartment building in Sankt Gallenkirch in the Montafon region – with seven individual units in a historic Montafon house dating back to 1588, offering simple comfort, tranquility, and panoramic views of the Silvretta mountains.
Accommodation & Hospitality
At Tante Anna, guests stay in modern apartments, a penthouse, and a holiday home for couples, families, and small groups, each with a balcony or terrace and plenty of privacy. The atmosphere is calm and understated, with natural materials, clean lines, and abundant natural light – ideal for truly unwinding after a day of skiing or hiking. A Finnish sauna area, some with private saunas on the terrace, a small garden, a self-service refrigerator stocked with drinks, and a daily bread roll delivery service complete the offerings.

Tante Anna's energy supply is CO₂-neutral: heating is provided by geothermal energy, electricity comes from the building's own photovoltaic system, and the house has been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel for sustainable accommodation. The careful renovation of this historic Montafon house combines regional building traditions with contemporary architecture; each of the seven apartments has its own unique character and is designed for longevity and resource conservation. Guests will find a bicycle storage room with e-bike charging stations, charging points for electric cars, a bike washing area, and plenty of space to explore the mountains without a car.
Location, Arrival & Public Transport
Tante Anna is located on Zamangweg, about 450 meters from the center of Sankt Gallenkirch, with its bus stop, supermarket, and bakery. The valley station of the Silvretta-Montafon cable cars (Valisera/Grasjoch) is approximately 1.2 kilometers away; a dedicated ski depot is available there for skiers. Arrival by public transport is via train to Bludenz, then the Montafonerbahn railway to Schruns, and from there a bus every half hour to Sankt Gallenkirch, "Zentrum" bus stop. Guests can take advantage of the well-developed bus network in Montafon, making many tours and excursions car-free.
Key sights & activities: From Tante Anna, the Silvretta Montafon ski area and the nearby slopes in Gargellen are easily accessible, with short distances to valley stations and ski buses. In summer, numerous hikes and bike tours start directly in the valley – for example, along the Montafon Valley Trail between Gargellen and St. Gallenkirch or on the trails towards the Silvretta High Alpine Road, the Wormser Hütte mountain hut, and the Dreiländerspitze peak. Cultural and scenic highlights such as the Silvretta High Alpine Road, the historic Montafon cultural landscape, and the towns of Schruns and Gaschurn are easily reachable by bus or car.
