The World Bee Day, the international day of bees celebrated worldwide on May 20th, is the perfect occasion to honor these extraordinary pollinating insects, true guardians of biodiversity, and to discover the Bee Trek route together.

This weekend, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May, the first Path of the Bees in Italy will be inaugurated with a special event that combines nature, culture, and community. A weekend full of meetings, walks, workshops, and tastings awaits you to experience the magic of bees up close. It will be the perfect opportunity to learn, discover, and actively participate in a project that puts bees and all pollinating insects at the center of our attention and commitment.

On Saturday, you will discover everything about the Bee Trek project thanks to talks by experts on beekeeping, local flora, and the Bee Trek gardens, which will introduce you to the fantastic world of bees. You will also see the beautiful works created by children and students of the school, including awards for videos, drawings, and readings dedicated to flowers and bees. To finish in style, there will be a aperitif with cheeses, honey, and wine, while the little ones can enjoy bread, butter, and honey with apple juice.

On Sunday, the fun continues with the opening of the Earth Market, where you can discover and taste local products from the Cimbrian Highlands. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony officially inaugurating the Bee Trek route, there will be activities for everyone’s tastes: you can taste various types of honey, take a walk to discover the plants and flowers friendly to bees, help plant new trees and shrubs in the Bee Trek garden of Lavarone, visit the Honey Museum, and participate in a workshop to build a Bio Hotel for insects. In short, two days full of discoveries, nature, and lots of fun!

Bee Trek: the Path of the Bees between adventure and awareness

It is a 27 km path connecting Folgaria, Lavarone Lake, the Honey Museum, and Luserna, passing through the Bee Gardens, true oases for pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and other insect friends of biodiversity.

Walking the trail is like opening a living book. Each stop is a chapter to explore. Each view, a page to contemplate. And you, the protagonist.

  • Do you want to know which flower attracts bees the most?
  • Do you want to learn how to recognize quality honey?
  • Do you want to discover how to simply contribute to safeguarding biodiversity?

Along the route you will find answers to your questions as well as plenty of food for thought.

A path that grows, together with the community

Bee Trek doesn’t stop here. The project is expanding, aiming to connect its gardens northwards to Bolzano and southwards towards Verona, thus creating a network of trails dedicated to pollinating insects and the culture of sustainability.

It is a grassroots path, born from the passion of volunteers, the knowledge of experts, the enthusiasm of schools, and the desire to build a future where nature and humans walk together.

Bee Trek is waiting for you. Are you ready?

Every bee carries within it the mechanism of the universe: each one summarizes the secret of the world.”

(Michel Onfray)

The Path of the Bees is an invitation to listen to the landscape, rediscover the connection with the natural world, and become guardians of biodiversity.

And you, how many kilometers are you willing to walk… for a flower?
