The hotel Diffuso Il Borgo Hospitable develops within the historic center of Rotonda, Basilicata, as a cultural project that aims, as a whole, to restore value to the identity of the historic place. Possible experience in our facilities are geared to local traditions, old crafts, to the flavors of the popular cooking, until the discovery of the natural beauty of the protected area of the Pollino National Park (Geoparks Network UNESCO Heritage).
Currently the rooms are located in two different structures: Anne and Mamma Peppina, buildings both dating to 1800. In order to recreate the original settings, clear, evocative style of memory, we have not stolen the identity restitution.
The renovations have allowed us to accurately recover the spaces. From solid wood furniture, the wooden beams everything is designed to deliver an experience worthy of the tradition, while extolling the unparalleled work of local artisans, among the few keepers of ancient techniques.
The services offered by our structure are tied to local cultures, the old crafts, to the popular cooking flavors, until the discovery of the protected natural beauty of the Pollino National Park.

Inside the Natural History Museum and paleontological of Rotonda have exposed the remains of a restored copy of Elephas antiquus italicus from the upper Middle Pleistocene (400,000 to 700,000 years ago) and other fossils of other animal species, such as the jaw, almost complete Hippopotamus antiquus found in the identical site dell'Elephas, probably lived in the more distant past (middle Pleistocene), and many other testimonies type of animal fossils, plants and minerals.

Siamo stati a Rotonda con il mio ragazzo per un weekend nella natura ed ne siamo rimasti estasiati. La reception è esattamente nel cuore del centro storico ed è facilmente raggiungibile in macchina, il personale è altamente amichevole e ci ha prontamente aiutati con tutte le informazioni di cui avevamo bisogno. La nostra camera era più in alto rispetto alla piazza, ed era raggiungibile in 5min a piedi. Quando siamo arrivati, siamo rimastti colpiti dalla vista mozzafiato e la tranquillitá e pulizia del vicinato. La camera (o meglio, l'appartamento) era molto moderno e pulitissimo. Siamo stati felicissimi della scelta e ritorneremo senza dubbio!
