Etymologically, the meaning of Eridu is: "your home away from home", and it is this, already in the choice of the name, the inspiring principle with which we welcome our guests. Convivial and informal hospitality.
Eridu is a cozy home, where it is easy to feel at ease.
Outdoors, all around a garden, with fruit trees and olive trees. To be chilled in the evening, or in summer to have breakfast in the shade of the gazebo. Or take refuge in the lounge of idleness, lulled by the sound of the river: an ideal room for reading and games.
Inside the house is furnished so that each room is different from the others. All rooms retain a common character, the result of a combination of rustic, typical Tuscan furniture, and a particular, unique, created specifically by local artisans and artists for Eridu.
The kitchen-living room is the room par excellence in the farmhouses. Here you can meet other guests, or talk to Marco, the manager, who will give you good advice on what to do and see in Florence. In the kitchen you can have breakfast, or you can ignite the fire in the large fireplace and go with the glasses of good red wine.
The bedrooms are all spacious, quiet and bright: click on the submenus to choose the room you like best.
At Eridu sustainability is not a found to be fashionable or a mere slogan: it is the result of our way of being, the most natural way to interpret the manufacturing tradition of Fiesole and at the same time allow young artists and creative people to give space for their inventiveness.
The result? Eridu is a truly unique b & b in the panorama of Fiesole and Florence. In the hands of our artists cork stoppers have become the wonderful sofas that furnish the Sala dell'Ozio, recovery boards have become bed headboards, and so on - many unique pieces of art and furniture that have multiplied over time and that, together with the rustic furniture of the local tradition, tell the story of a true and continuous attention to the environment that surrounds us.
Overlooking the Pescaia and one of the few original mills still working on the Arno river, at the foot of the superb hill of Fiesole, in a landscape still intact despite the proximity to Florence, you will appreciate even more the warm and familiar atmosphere of the B & B and the choices of environmental sustainability that we carry forward to furnish it and to manage it.
