Camp Biokovo is the only campground located in inland Dalmatia. So in a way, we are pioneers in the valley of glorious Biokovo Mountain. Our idea was to create a campsite where you can enjoy all that untouched nature has to offer but also being close to “civilization” and interesting spots. As it usually goes, younger generation was in charge for creative part and parents did all the hard work. It wasn’t easy, but we loved every moment of it. At the end of the journey, we managed to create our little place we call home where you will be welcomed as a member of our family.
We are placed in Croatian region of Dalmatia, under the foot of Biokovo Mountain, in a small village Zagvozd. Coming on the highway from Zagreb, Split or from Dubrovnik, take exit “Zagvozd” and we are just 5 min drive from the tolls. Camping Biokovo is placed in secluded area, but still really close to the village, just 10 min walk to the bars, restaurant, grocery shops, butchers, bakery and ATM. The location is really interesting for all who want to be close to their interests but far enough to escape the crowds. Options: Taking the tunnel Sv. Ilija (free pass) you are 10 min drive from the campsite to the Makarska Riviera and their amazing beaches. From Makarska you have ferries to the islands, so camping Biokovo is also great for overnight stop. Located close to the highway and just 10 min away from Dalmatian coastal highway campingsite is great base to explore Croatian towns ( Dubrovnik, Split, Trogir, Šibenik, Imotski, Tilj, Sinj, Vrgorac), national parks ( Biokovo, Krka, Plitvice ..), explore Bosnia-Herzegovina ( Mostar, Kravice National Park, Međugorje,..)
