Top of the Woods

Top of the Woods is a multi-award winning glamping eco site, a secluded, nature haven away from main roads and light pollution. Awards include the Green Key Award for Sustainable Tourism (in 2016 & 2017) and the Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards for Sustainable Tourism (2016).

Jon and Soo the owners are dedicated to habitat enrichment and creation including planting new woodland (over 2000 trees have been planted so far!), wildflower meadow and minimising the impact of human activities. They don't just focus on the environment and ecology but on enriching the local community and economy too.

There are 4 unique glamping/camping experiences which are situated in their own wildflower meadows with views of the Pembrokeshire National Park and woodlands.

The huge Dutch Barn is a fantastic covered space to relax and enjoy our hosted weekend meals (using locally sourced, fair trade and high welfare ingredients). It also includes a hammock garden and the communal fire pit.
There is plenty of space to run, play and relax on our 27-acre site with several nature spots, secret gardens and access to 325 acres of woodland (much of which is designated SSSI) with a secret waterfall from the site. You can meet the super friendly pigs, free-range chickens and Dylan the campdog.

All accommodation at Top of the Woods is dog friendly.

We believe getting an amazing night’s sleep is a vital part of glamping, so we provide proper quality beds (1 king size and 2 singles) with feather bedding and crisp linen, and blankets to keep you cosy in all our glamping tents.

All glamping tents have their own firepits and a complimentary basket of sustainably sourced wood is provided. Campers are welcome to bring their own (off the ground) firepits/BBQs or hire one from us. (No disposable BBQs please!)

ECO BOUTIQUE SAFARI LODGES
The luxurious glamping lodges are huge at 6X9m and 3m high! They sleep 4 in 2 bedroom compartments and can sleep up to 6 on 2 sofa beds. They include full self-catering facilities with locally crafted dining table & benches, running water and solar lighting.
Arrive to a 'Welcome basket' containing a selection of local artisan delights and relax on your own veranda with views of the valleys and the Pembrokeshire National Park.
Outside there is your own firepit with locally made benches.
The meadow has 2 toilet & shower units, each located between 2 lodges, with hot showers and eco compost toilets, to compliment the flush toilet and shower block in the courtyard.

GLAMPING PIONEER CAMPS
Our Pioneer Camps are your glamping holiday homestead, where you, your family and/or friends can discover your frontier spirits together.
Inside your Pioneer sleeps up to 4 in 2 bedrooms (king size & 2 singles) with cosy blankets, a woodburner and plenty of space of luggage, dog crates etc.
Outdoor covered camp kitchen - we provide everything you need for outdoor cooking and dining. This includes a 2 burner stove, dining table & benches, under a large canvas canopy.
Open camp fire area - Beyond the camp kitchen, experiment with outdoor cooking over the campfire with the Dutch Oven and tripod, or just enjoy the campfire to keep warm at night with the sights and sounds of nature.
The meadow has 2 sets of composting toilets & 2 hot showers, to compliment the main flush toilet & shower block in the courtyard.

GLAMPING NATURE DOMES:
Our 4 unique domes overlook the Pembrokeshire National Park. Pitched in their own enchanting meadow, surrounded by woodland, they provide space, peace and privacy. Our quality designed domes are spacious at 6.3M diameter, sleeping 2 in luxury, or generously sleeping up to 4.
They have sustainable wooden flooring, a wood burning stove, cutting edge designed wooden furniture teemed with design classic to create a fresh modern natural space
Attached to each dome is fully equipped outdoor covered camp kitchen, with handmade willow hurdles to create privacy
All the domes are naturally landscaped to take advantage of the stunning views of the Pembrokeshire National Park and woodlands
Perfect for couples who are looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating escape, or for families who want to enjoy family time in the great outdoors
The meadow also has a compost toilet, to compliment the main flush toilet and shower block in the courtyard.

MEADOW CAMPING:
At Top of the Woods gives a secluded ‘back to nature’ camping experience, that is all about being together in Nature, with freedom and space for children to play and grown-ups to relax.
The wildflower camping meadow is 4-acre, with a limited number of camping “pitch-were-you-want” pitches. The meadow has a newly planted woodland, a ‘hide & seek’ willow garden and views of the Pembrokeshire National Park and woodlands.
Included in your Meadow Camping pitch is: 1x large tent space (or 2x small tents, max of 6 persons per pitch + up to 2 dogs), 1 car park space, free hot showers, communal camping freezer for ice block freezing, outdoor & indoor games.
Prices are per person, per night: Adults - £13, Children (2+ to 15 years) - £6.50
There is also the option to hire a Bell Tent from us.This means you can just bring your camping gear and not have to worry about squeezing the tent in too!
