Eco-Chalet Ria d'Etel, Morbihan

Breton charm in an outstanding environment – located in an authentic little hameau with some old stone houses, near the ocean, close to the largest megalithic site in the world as well as the idyllic landscapes of the Ria d’Etel, the sunken lanes and walking trails right in front of the house. Nestling in a secret garden this wooden chalet is fully committed to the idea of sustainability.

Inspired by the Tiny House principles the wooden chalet offers space for cooking, eating, sleeping and the daily hygiene. A cosy warm interior opens through big windows to the surrounding greenery. This 17m² 2-person holiday home is equipped with a double bed, a kitchenette, a living-dining area and a shower with dry toilet. Nature-lovers will love to let the life flow on the gravel terrace in the screened off private little chalet garden between eucalyptus and fig tree. The holiday home is located in an impasse.

The wooden chalet is built with sustainable materials like wood fibre insulation or wooden cladding and is dedicated to the idea of up- and recycling of materials. All materials used are reclaimed or leftover materials, from the wooden parquet, the interior and exterior cladding and the windows as well as second hand Morrocan fossilized Erfoud marble plates which have been reused for the kitchenette’s backsplash. Or the big stone plate with beautiful celtic carving discarded by a nearby located stonemason and now used as an entrance stepstone. Not to mention the curtains from old Indian silk sarees.

There are two bicycles at your disposal for a small fee. If you need more professional bicycles, there is a bike rental offering the possibility to let the bicycles be deliverd to the holiday residence at a distance of 4km.

A chargeable pick-up service from the train station in Auray or Landaul-Locoal or a close by bus stop can be arranged upon request.
