Varm - the vegan Farm
The "Kellerstöckl" holiday home is a restored press house on a very natural farmstead - vegan organic farm for people and animals - in a picturesque location surrounded by orchards, pastures, meadows, fields, ponds and forest.
"Varm - the vegan farm" - is probably the only 100% vegan provider of "holidays on a farm" in southern Styria. Ideal for nature and animal lovers, dog lovers and above all vegans or those who want to become one.
After years of renovation and restoration of our country idyll and small paradise in southern Styria - the so-called Styrian Tuscany - the gates have recently been opened to guests.
We welcome people and animals to our bio-vegan farm and accommodate them in the enchantingly romantic "Kellerstöckl", a restored winegrower's/press house, which is designed in a harmonious mix of shabby-chic, country house and industrial style with a few elements of autochthonous rural Style designed and furnished. During the restoration, we placed great value on sustainable, biological materials and on re-using or upcycling old objects.
Since we ourselves, as well as our dogs and, of course, our Cameroon sheep, which are saved from slaughter, are purely vegan, we also spoil our guests exclusively with vegan delicacies. With great passion, we surprise omnivores by showing what is possible from classic cuisine veganized and tempt them to rethink their eating habits - so far with all guests who are not vegan anyway, with consistently great success!
The entire courtyard area consisting of the main house, the basement, old stables and farm buildings is fenced in and offers a sufficiently large garden area on an area of approx. 3,000 square meters to enjoy a relaxing holiday with your dog. The immediately adjacent areas - orchard, vineyard, meadows and vegetable fields also belong to the farm and can also be used by the guests if required.
Since we have 3 dogs ourselves, which move freely in the garden, frequent encounters and occupation with the dogs are inevitable - our Labradors are true "combat cuddlers", Hofzerberus Ella - a Greek livestock protection dog from a shelter on Euboea - guards the yard and everyone Residents with eagle eyes and great zeal. However, it can sometimes take two or three days for guests to be recognized as “residents”. Therefore, the domicile is generally unsuitable for people who are afraid of dogs or feel impaired by them, as well as for small children.
The entire house can be booked as a short- or long-term holiday apartment, has a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, anteroom, bathroom with tub, shower, toilet and washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen with a cozy dining area, a total of approx. 55 square meters and plenty of space in front and around the house for outdoor living.
You are also welcome to visit us with your dog - in this case, however, we ask that you contact us personally in advance to agree on a mode if things don't work out so well with the four-legged friends (but it hasn't been a problem so far).
