The most innovative startups in Italy about sustainability are going to be presented inside Expo, the Universal Exposition in Milan, thanks to ‘Il Vivaio delle Idee‘, that in italian means ‘Ideas Nursery‘
The program of ‘Ideas Nursery’, presented by the Italian Pavilion in collaboration with ItaliaCamp, has the purpose of introducing the best sustainability sector startups and innovative projects to a panel of investors, funds and venture capital bodies.
Between November 2014 and March 2015 ItaliaCamp went in 7 Italian cities (Catania, Naples, Pisa, Turin, Padua, Rovereto and Milan) to find the most innovative projects to be presented on the stage of the Italian Pavilion, in Expo 2015. Over 300 projects were presented from all over Italy. Now the most interesting will be presented to the public three days a week (Monday, Thursday and Friday) from 16:30 to 18:30 in the Italian Pavilion to a panel of potential investors.
The initiative was promoted by the Italian Pavilion, Mipaaf Foundation and Italian Camp.
“What we propose is a reflection on the future – stated Cesare Vaciago, Director General of Padiglione Italia – designed to germinate the seeds of innovation, coherently with the image of the Nursery and the icon of the Tree of Life. We hope that a good number of these startups may take root and grow, helping to make Italy a Silicon Valley of future food technologies.”
Among the selected projects there is Ecobnb, the community dedicated to sustainable tourism, which allows you to find and book environmentally conscious accommodations.
Ecobnb will be presented at the Ideas Nursery on:
Monday, August 31, 2015 from 16.30
