From July 15 to August 11, 2024, Copenhagen will introduce a fantastic initiative called CopenPay to encourage sustainable tourist behaviors. The initiative, promoted by the tourism office Wonderful Copenhagen, rewards visitors who adopt eco-friendly practices, such as cycling, using public transport, or participating in trash collection campaigns, with benefits like free meals and museum admissions.

Or, if you help keep parks and streets clean, you’ll receive free entries to museums, allowing you to explore the city’s rich cultural offerings without spending a penny. The National Gallery of Denmark is also participating in the initiative, offering a workshop that teaches visitors how to create art using recycled plastic they bring in.
