What can I win?
The two best works will compose an e-book.
The authors of the two best works will win 2 ecofriendly holidays for two persons in Italy.
1. 4 days from the Parma’s hills to the Apennines, to discover one of the World’s best place to eat well!
4 day stay (3 nights) for 2 persons discovering beautiful hills and castels, the Apennines nature, and of course Parma’s food!
This is a journey into the heart of Emilia Romagna, one of the World’s best place to eat well (Forbes). The traditional reasons to visit Parma are Parmigiano Reggiano, prosciutto, Tortelli, Lambrusco and Malvasia. But the real specialties to discover are the least known: hills and forests, castles and ancient abbeys, nature and vegan cousine (yes, you read right!). Are you ready for your green adventure in Parma’s hills?
The rolling hills south of Parma are the land of wine, and enchant with their beautiful agricultural landscapes, lost in time, punctuated by stunning castles, fortresses and ancient abbeys.
Parma’s people likes travel by bicycle, that gives unique emotions up and down hills, through small villages where it produces the Parmesan, historic towns and full of charm, gourmet places to discover the cuisine of Emilia-Romagna.
The Court of Woodly green hospitality is perfect to enjoy Parma hills. An old sixteenth-century tower turned into an ecofriedly bed and breakfast (organic food, clean energy, natural cleaners, etc.), few minutes from the romantic Torrechiara castle.
“From the window of the room, looking towards the Apennines, you can see groups of deer grazing in the fields behind the house, and we are surprised every time!” Tell the owners of the bed & breakfast La Corte di Woodly.
From the top of the tower, the view is really lovely and comes up to Monte Cimone.
At breakfast you can enjoy the fresh fruit that comes from nearby farms, milk, coffee, yogut, and homemade cakes.
Then you can venture out to explore the Apennines National Park, a treasure of nature, that you can discover slowly, walking, cycling, horse riding or paragliding. About food this is the home of Porcini mushroom.
The vegan farm Il Borgo Tara is right there, on the border between Tuscany and Liguria. An ancient village in stone, that oozes history in every stone. All around the green forests and wild Apennines. The rooms are furnished with natural materials and according to the cruelty-free philosophy and way of life of the owners. Pets are welcome!
You will be surprised by the taste of the excellent cuisine. After a hearty breakfast, you can enjoy a beautiful hike of about 3 hours, passing by the medieval church of St. Christopher, to the characteristic Lago Buono, surrounded by many woods and nature!
2. A weekend in the secret (western) Liguria
A weekend for two in DianoGreen, Liguria, among olive groves and lavender, sea and ancient villages. This is a romantic trip, discovering little unknown villages, blue sea and very special wines!
The western Liguria, less traveled by tourism, welcomes you with its ancient villages, screws prized, woods and expanses of olive green silver and fade away into the deep blue sea.
DianoGreen is the perfect place to find out the size of this part of Liguria. Here holiday is among olive trees overlooking the sea. You can walk through stone walls, armoatiche herbs, fruit trees and lavender fields, that remind Provence.
We are in the heart of the ancient village of Diano San Pietro (Imperia), in an old country house restored in an eco-sustainable way (green building, solar panels for hot water, etc.), 3 kilometers from the crystal sea of Liguria.
