We feel live and gratified, we return children and we learn new things.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_983\" class=\"thumbnail alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2013\/04\/attivita3.jpg\"><img class=\"size-full wp-image-983\" title=\"organic farm\" src=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2013\/04\/attivita3.jpg\" alt=\"organic farm\" width=\"960\" height=\"470\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2013\/04\/attivita3.jpg 960w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2013\/04\/attivita3-536x262.jpg 536w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2013\/04\/attivita3-344x168.jpg 344w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><div class=\"caption\">Organic farm holidays Ferdy, Valle Brembana (Bergamo)<\/div><\/div>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 150px;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Picking fruit and making organic jam, digging in the garden, taking care of the goats, cows or pigs, collecting honey, <strong>learning how to make cheese or organic wine can be more memorable than a stay doing nothing in a Spa.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sue Coppard<\/strong> knew it, when in <strong>1971<\/strong>, in order to escape from the stress of London (where she worked as a secretary in Resurgence magazine), she had worked on a farm in exchange for hospitality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From this simple experience of a weekend of more than 40 years ago &#8211; that she remembers as &#8220;Idyllic&#8221; &#8211; was born a worldwide movement that now includes over 12,000 organic farmers and thousands of volunteers around the world<\/strong>, crossing continents and cultures to learn to live more sustainable and responsibly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WWOOF (acronym for &#8220;World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms&#8221;)<\/strong> is today an international big project that involves many associations, one for each country interested.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In Italy there are more than 300 organic farms<\/strong>, where you can stay<b><\/b><b> in contact with nature<\/b>, <b>discove<b>ring<\/b> regional traditions<\/b>, <b>seeing live<\/b><b> how do the products of excellence of italian cuisine<\/b>, <b>mak<b>ing<\/b> new friends,<\/b><b> experienc<b>ing<\/b> something truly authentic<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Board and lodging is offered in exchange for a day&#8217;s work on the farm<\/strong>.
