Trains leaves from each village station every 25 min in summer. If you begin your day early, you can definitely visit all 5 in a day. It will be e a long day but worth it.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d rather take your time and enjoy the breathtaking views , just follow the tracks that connect the villages. Fegina, the newest part of the village, houses some lesser known gems like<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u201cVilla Montale\u201d<\/strong>, the summer home of Nobel awarded poet Eugenio Montale.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cThe Giant\u201d<\/strong>, which is the bomb-ravaged remains of a colossal Neptune statue once holding a shell shaped terrace.<br \/>\nStop in a caf\u00e9 and have one <strong>&#8220;biscotto del Lagaccio&#8221;<\/strong>, a local pastry specialty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">As you leave Fegina and follow the red street signs you can easily reach Vernazza.<\/span><br \/>\nPlease, keep in mind:you will enter the <strong>Parco delle Cinque Terre<\/strong> area and be required to buy the access ticket<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6696\" class=\"thumbnail alignnone\"><img class=\"wp-image-6696 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/08\/Gigante-di-Monterosso-860x490.jpg\" alt=\"The Giant in Monterosso (La Spezia) Cinque Terre\" width=\"860\" height=\"490\" \/><div class=\"caption\">The Giant in Monterosso (La Spezia) &#8211; photography by Francisco Schmidt via Flickr<\/div><\/div>\n<h2>Vernazza<\/h2>\n<p>The inhabitants of Vernazza have ensured the village keep the original atmosphere of a fishermen\u2019s port. It&#8217;s beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>There you will find a 14th century church called <strong>Santa Margherita di Antiochia<\/strong> which is the most visited monument of this little village. If you are not too exhausted, you can reach <strong>Santuario della Madonna di Reggio<\/strong> by walking up the hill for approx. 45 minutes.<br \/>\nYou will see the reproductions of some <strong>Stations of the Holy Cross<\/strong>, the trail Christian Catholics believe Jesus walked along his way to the Mount Gologota where he was crucified.<\/p>\n<p>Then you if you leave Vernazza and want to head for Corniglia, it will take just one and a half hours. I never slept in a medieval tower?
