{"id":6348,"date":"2015-06-28T16:33:40","date_gmt":"2015-06-28T14:33:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/?p=6348"},"modified":"2015-06-28T16:33:40","modified_gmt":"2015-06-28T14:33:40","slug":"port-cros-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/port-cros-france\/","title":{"rendered":"Pink flamingos, white beaches, and a sip of ros\u00e9: my trip to the natural paradise of Port Cros"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Giens peninsula<\/strong>, located in the town of Hyeres, France, is formed by two thin strips of sand (tomboli) entering the sea for four to five kilometers.\u00a0It&#8217;s an area prone to high winds and this is the ideal place for those who like <strong>kitesurfing<\/strong> and <strong>windsurfing<\/strong>. Even diving are practiced thanks to the presence of beautiful fishes.<\/p>\n<p>The coastline consists of <strong>fine sand<\/strong> and it&#8217;s all in walking or <strong>cycling<\/strong> through a beaten path about 18 Km. It has only one town, a <strong>windmill<\/strong>, a <strong>botanical garden<\/strong>. From the village you can rent <strong>bicycles<\/strong>\u00a0to explore the island. Biking you can visit fortress, the windmill, and cliffs overlooking the sea, with\u00a0breathtaking views.<\/p>\n<p>On foot or by bike you can also visit beautiful beaches. In the <strong>marina<\/strong>, a short walk from the village, you can have a chat with the <strong>fishermen<\/strong> that replicate the nets after a morning&#8217;s work.
