The Giens peninsula<\/strong>, located in the town of Hyeres, France, is formed by two thin strips of sand (tomboli) entering the sea for four to five kilometers.\u00a0It’s an area prone to high winds and this is the ideal place for those who like kitesurfing<\/strong> and windsurfing<\/strong>. Even diving are practiced thanks to the presence of beautiful fishes.<\/p>\n

The coastline consists of fine sand<\/strong> and it’s all in walking or cycling<\/strong> through a beaten path about 18 Km. In the marshy area inside, between the two bobbins, you can observe pink flamingos<\/strong> and other species of birds and plants over with spectacular views.<\/p>\n

Canoeing from Hyeres to the\u00a0Porquerolle\u00a0island<\/h2>\n

In front of the peninsula lie the islands of Hyeres<\/strong>, also called archipelago of gold<\/em>, with the Ile du Levant<\/strong>, Port-Cros<\/strong> and the famous Porquerolle island<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From the Tour Fondue you can\u00a0take a boat to reach the islands, but we’ve chosen to do it canoeing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
