In the heart of the medieval village of Arcidosso, under the imposing castle, is Casa Al Castello<\/strong>, a recently renovated structure that perfectly embodies the idea of eco-sustainable tourism and is among the nominated to the Ecobnb Awards<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was the spark that ignited your passion for environmental sustainability?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I have always behaved sustainably, both at home and in the family. For me, it is natural to pay attention<\/strong> to the environment, choose natural products, and reduce waste<\/strong>. This was the starting point for applying the same principles<\/strong> to the accommodation structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What aspects do you consider fundamental in your eco-sustainability journey?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main features are the separate collection, the use of simple and natural<\/strong> detergents, and the elimination of the consumption of disposable products. We also chose to use electric stoves and heat the house with a pellet system, which is more environmentally<\/strong> friendly<\/strong> and efficient<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How would you describe your ideal “eco-traveler” host?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ideal eco-traveler<\/strong> respects the rules<\/strong> described and the environment, acting as a tourist<\/strong> or conscious traveler. He is a person who appreciates simplicity<\/strong>, and tranquility<\/strong>, and who knows how to live in harmony<\/strong> with the territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the most significant review you have received and what made it special?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The review that most gratified me was when he spoke of the\u00a0house’s simplicity<\/strong>\u00a0and ‘basicity<\/strong>‘<\/span>. Our guests appreciate the fact that the house is not too sophisticated, but that it offers everything you need in a natural and quiet environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s dispel together the myth that eco-sustainability is necessarily more expensive. According to you, “Ecological” can also be “Economic”?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Absolutely, ecological<\/strong> can also be economical<\/strong>, especially if you choose seasonal, local and natural foods. Homemade detergents<\/a>, for example, are an economical and environmentally friendly alternative. Slow tourism<\/a>, which favors quality and authenticity<\/strong> rather than consumerism<\/strong>, also reduces costs and respects<\/strong> the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which green initiatives have given you the greatest satisfaction? What have been the most appreciated by your guests?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the initiatives that gave us greater satisfaction was the use of natural materials<\/a> for the renovation of the house, such as lime painting. This has improved the comfort and health of the rooms, without compromising the aesthetic<\/strong> appearance. Guests also appreciate the relaxing<\/strong> and natural atmosphere of the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do the values and projects of Ecobnb resonate with those of your structure?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ecobnb reflects from its inception what I wanted to offer with my accommodation: a stay experience that respects the environment<\/strong>, promotes sustainable<\/strong> tourism<\/strong> and enhances local<\/strong> traditions<\/strong>.
