We interviewed <strong>Roberto Salvetti<\/strong>, owner of the Relais, to tell us the history of the hamlet. He will also illustrate the itineraries not to be missed and the measures adopted to become more eco-friendly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>How was Relais Borgo Torale born?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Relais was created by <strong>renovating<\/strong> those houses once inhabited by the peasants at the service of the Marquis Ruggero Ranieri Bourbon dei Monti di Sorbello. Renovation work began in 1993 and finished in 1997. In 1993, the <strong>Ministry for Cultural Assets and Environments<\/strong> recognized the hamlet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img width=\"870\" height=\"490\" <strong>ban of pesticides<\/strong> for removing the weeds growing in the cobbled alleways;<\/li><li>the use of electricity produced from <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2020\/11\/renewable-sources-clean-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">100% renewable energy sources<\/a>;<\/li><li>the use of drainage systems in bathrooms with <strong>water minimization<\/strong>;<\/li><li>the use of <strong>LED lamps<\/strong> both outside and inside, for all forms of lighting; <\/li><li>the requirement for guests to use <strong>recycling bins<\/strong>; <\/li><li>the use of <strong>jet diffusers or flow reducers,<\/strong> both for sinks and basins, to reduce water waste.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure <strong>charm<\/strong> of the hamlet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In particular, they like the feeling of <strong>overall well-being and peace<\/strong> they perceive, but also the short distance, albeit by car, from the neighbouring villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, they appreciate the nature surrounding the hamlet and its <strong>proximity to famous art cities <\/strong>and <a countless itineraries: on foot, with many trails marked by the<strong> Italian Alpine Club<\/strong>, but also by bicycle, along the <strong>panoramic ridge that connects Tuoro sul Trasimeno and Castel Rigone <\/strong>or along the <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/itinerary\/ring-cycle-of-trasimeno\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ring cycle that runs for about 60 km on the
