It is also one of the most popular hiking trails in the Galapagos. You can mostly find exotic birds on the Sierra Negra volcano, such as mockingbirds, flycatchers, and finches. You can even see the famous giant tortoise or a Galapagos hawk if you&#8217;re lucky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most popular activity on the Sierra Negra is hiking the trail up to the crater rim. The view from there is simply breathtaking. You could rent a horse if walking up the path is too strenuous for you. There\u2019s no specific time of the year to visit. The volcano can be visited at any time of the year; it all depends on your choice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visiting in May might mean hiking in warmer and wetter weather. On Santa Fe island, you can find all sorts of <strong>unique animal species<\/strong>, such as the Barrington land iguana and the Barrington leaf-toe gecko. For relaxation, you could visit the turquoise beaches and watch seals and sea lions lazing about.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Santiago\u2019s Cousin\u2019s Rock<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With its strong currents and unique rock topography, advanced and expert divers will find Cousin\u2019s Rock a very good location for scuba diving.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The black corals, algae, flora, fauna, and colorful clams that cover the jagged rock pieces can be found in only a few other places. The island itself consists of <strong>six active volcanoes<\/strong>, with the Volcano Wolf being the tallest and highest point in the archipelago.
