The train might not be your first choice, but Europe is trying to change people\u2019s minds. Indeed, this eco-friendly means of transport allows you to visit every desired place, especially in The Old Continent, where the railway network is highly developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is one of the reasons why national railway companies have started to improve their routes connecting European countries to one another like France, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, and \u2013 across the Channel \u2013 England. Not only are all major cities connected to each other, but travellers are also given the possibility to travel by night and not to \u201cwaste\u201d any precious daytime for visiting. Passengers can sleep either in couchettes or in sleepers, depending on their budgets, and they can also have dinner in the restaurant car on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img width=\"870\" height=\"490\" src=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/12\/carrozza-ristorante-870x490.jpg\" alt=\"dinner in the restaurant car on board train\" class=\"wp-image-49264\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/12\/carrozza-ristorante.jpg 870w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/12\/carrozza-ristorante-536x302.jpg 536w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/12\/carrozza-ristorante-768x433.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/12\/carrozza-ristorante-570x320.jpg 570w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/12\/carrozza-ristorante-344x194.jpg 344w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 870px) 100vw, 870px\" \/><figcaption>photo via Canva PRO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>The new paths<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oebb.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00d6BB<\/a> (\u00d6sterreichische Bundesbahnen, i.e., the Austrian federal railways) train will connect the stunning Paris to Vienna, passing through the Marne Valley and across the Rhine River, following the same route as the Orient Express \u2013 before it was withdrawn in 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another route that comes across the Rhine is the one going from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2018\/11\/amsterdam-green\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amsterdam<\/a><\/strong> to Z\u00fcrich, available for both the night and the day. \u00d6BB has really expanded its network by adding a train going from Stuttgart to Vienna called \u201cBregenzerwald\u201d, i.e. Bregenzer Forest, named after an Austrian region that confines with Germany. Moreover, a high-speed Allegro train had started to better connect the Russian Federation to Finland last December, but of course, due to the current tragic war every route has been temporarily suspended. The same goes for the direct trains from Przemysl (Poland) to Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We do believe in travelling as the truest way of living life, but in such circumstances, we cannot<br>recommend strongly enough to stay safe and be careful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, to wrap it up\u2026 you can travel across Europe and visit its major cities with the \u201ceco-friendliest\u201d<br>means of transportation in existence. Tickets can be adapted according to your economic needs.<br>You can travel during the night and also avoid long security-related procedures. Plus, you don\u2019t<br>even have to worry about where to park!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What are you waiting for?
