Excellent from all points of view. It is located in one of the small streets leading up to <strong>Montmartre<\/strong>, with about ten tables. Typical <strong>French cuisine<\/strong> (canard, potatoes, and other local dishes). Don\u2019t miss the \u201c<strong>oef foi grois<\/strong>\u201d, it is simply <strong>divine<\/strong>. Everyone come there for that and it is delicious! A dinner in this place is an unforgettable experience! As soon as the first rays of <strong>sun<\/strong> touch the water, a certain <strong>\u2018douceur de vivre\u2019<\/strong> takes hold. Join a gentle stroll between the Saint-Martin Canal and La Villette or Buttes-Chaumont Parks, where a combination of <strong>nature<\/strong> and <strong>urban culture<\/strong> creates a holiday atmosphere. Soak up the lively atmosphere emanating from the little bars and bistros alongside the canal. With a bit of luck, you might see the R\u00e9collets lock opening and be able to admire the lock mechanism. Continue your walk to the Villemin Garden, created on the site of the former hospital of the same name, which itself replaced the <strong>R\u00e9collets Convent<\/strong>. The garden, with its lawns, bandstand and play areas, is an ideal spot for a <strong>picnic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Take a cup of tea and a slice of cake in \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/lecomptoirgeneral.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>le comptoir general<\/strong><\/a>\u201d. The place is magnificent, surrounded by <strong>greenery<\/strong> and <strong>relaxing music<\/strong>. You can also have a wide choice of <strong>drinks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>3. During the day, the Seine mainly plays host to floating restaurants and tour boats, but on the weekends and evenings, her\u00a0riverbanks come alive with <strong>picnickers<\/strong>. There are some <strong>lovely places<\/strong> to soak up the sun with a glass of ros\u00e9 and a baguette by the river.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00eele Saint-Louis<\/strong> and <strong>\u00cele de la Cit\u00e9<\/strong>. The Seine splits briefly into two, creating <strong>two \u201cislands\u201d<\/strong> linked by the small <strong>Saint Louis bridge<\/strong>. One of these, the \u00cele de la Cit\u00e9, is a popular spot for <strong>picnics<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Quai Bernard<\/strong>. Across the street from the <strong>Jardin des Plantes<\/strong>, the <strong>Quai Bernard<\/strong> is a great spot for a picnic, and you can also pick up the Batobus (boat tour) here.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trocadero<\/strong>. Far fewer tourists head here, and you will find families, colleagues, couples and friends sitting on the <strong>cobbled banks<\/strong> with picnics throughout the day \u2013 but especially on warm Friday evenings. Look out for the <strong>fishermen<\/strong> who enjoy this spot too!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Berges de Seine<\/strong>. The recently-renovated 2.3 kilometres of \u201cberges\u201d (riverbanks) between the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Orsay and the Pont de l\u2019Alma are now home to floating gardens, bars, deckchairs, free exercise classes, and all sorts of <strong>kids\u2019 activities<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>4. Places where life is good and where people, genres and the wind of freedom mingle. In honour of the painter and liberated woman Rosa Bonheur, and with the accents of the Midi, Mimi, Zouzou and the whole team welcome you with good humour to their four guinguettes with sustainable approaches and affordable products: 1.\u00a0in the Parc des Buttes Chaumont, 2.\u00a0on the banks of the Seine at Invalides, 3.\u00a0in Asni\u00e8res, and finally the latest 4.\u00a0on an island in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le Pavillon des Canaux<\/strong> is a hybrid place that lies between public and private space, between home and work. It is impossible to sum up the Pavillon des Canaux in one sentence; it is a place where you can see an <strong>exhibition<\/strong>, have a <strong>drink<\/strong>, have a <strong>brunch<\/strong>, take part in a drawing workshop or attend a <strong>concert<\/strong>. In a friendly atmosphere, with <strong>recycled furniture<\/strong>, original decoration and brightly <strong>coloured walls<\/strong>, the Pavillon des Canaux is a laboratory of ideas, a nursery of initiatives, a field of possibilities.<\/p>\n<p>These places enable people to forge links between themselves through a different offer: only the essentials are consumed and a cultural, artistic, social, solidarity and environmental programme is offered. This is what Pavillon des Canaux is trying to do: to <strong>live better<\/strong> together while being closer to the <strong>environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>5.
