In fact, since <strong>1725<\/strong>, they have built clocks for civic towers and bells. Its well-kept alleys dotted with <strong>churches<\/strong> and <strong>votive frescoes<\/strong> of the houses will win you over immediately. As well as <strong>tradition<\/strong>s, such as that of the carnival, and the language. In fact, here they speak a very particular <strong>language<\/strong>, which derives from German. It is a <strong>spire<\/strong> about <strong>300 meters<\/strong> high that only the most experienced and courageous <strong>climbers<\/strong> can climb. Our favorite is Lake Bordaglia, surrounded by large <strong>larch trees<\/strong> and a coniferous forest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our advice<\/strong>: you can reach the lake from Pierabech di Forni Avoltri, taking the CAI path 141.<\/p>\n<h3>The Bandit Wood of Timau<\/h3>\n<p>From the village of Timau you can reach a truly <strong>fascinating forest<\/strong> in a few minutes. Declared a natural monument of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Bosco Bandito is made up of some of the most <strong>impressive<\/strong> and <strong>ancient<\/strong> specimens of <strong>beech trees<\/strong> in the entire region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our advice<\/strong>: In Timau you can also visit the <strong>Ossuary<\/strong> <strong>Temple<\/strong>, also known as the Church of the Most Holy Crucifix.<\/p>\n<h3>The village of Raveo<\/h3>\n<p>Among the many villages of Carnia, <strong>Raveo<\/strong> certainly deserves a special mention. With its 469 inhabitants it is one of the <strong>smallest<\/strong>, but it is also one of the richest in history. The Arzino waterfalls, the small stretches of water that they create and the surrounding nature form a truly <strong>suggestive<\/strong> <strong>picture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our advice<\/strong>: not far from Preone, the starting point of the path that leads to the waterfalls, you can find the <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/IT-udine\/albergo-diffuso\/altopiano-di-lauco\/DGSbF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Albergo Diffuso Lauro<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>The Panoramic Route of the Peaks<\/h3>\n<p>Carnia is crossed by a truly unique and spectacular itinerary. It is a 35-kilometer route and is one of the most scenic roads in the entire Alpine arc of Friuli Venezia Giulia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our advice<\/strong>: the route can also be done on foot or on horseback, but we suggest you to do it by bike!<\/p>\n<h3>A lunch in a <em>malga<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>You cannot leave Carnia without first having tasted its simple, genuine, unforgettable flavors.
